So, I drew my soulmate Lalalala a while ago, however, I'm actually drawing her mouse today and tomorrow ^^



I will also by drawing my mouse in the picture as well, this one will be a more unique drawing, as I won't be using outlines (yes, I know I'm using outlines rn technically, but they're there to set up, when I'm done I'll be drawing undernearth the layored with the same color, then merge everything, making it so there are no outlines.) If you personally know me as a map maker, you'd know I realllyyyyyyyy hate using outlines, though this is kinda irrelivant now because the reason why was back when I made color ground art maps, outlines would use unnecessary grounds. I still hold this belief today that outlines are just very, unrealistic, life does not have borders I used to say ha ha ha.

Anyway, it's 2 am and I thought I'd head to bed, here's the drawing so far. If you're experienced with drawing without outlines, feel free to give me some advice.

the way you cell shade is so majestic and I also love how you have a fair understanding of how light sources work, it makes the drawing look a bit more lively but overall it's really cute <3!!!

Cell shading is pretty much the literal only thing available back in 2012 for making maps ha ha, so I got a lot of experience in it. But I prefer using more than 4 shades of color :3 Mostly because things aren't flat, so even areas of shadows should be lighter or darker depending where it is, after all light bends around the air, so I'd like to make it look like light is bending around the air in my drawings, stacking shades on shades so things are darker or lighter depending on location ^^ yet still darker or lighter depending on exact pixel location :)
