Happy belated birthday Transformice!

theres many a times i wanted to revamp the 1st LUA Christmas event map i did in 2013, but I just never got around it, probably as I didn't do enough research and gathering references, i really hope this time i actually sit down tight and finish it.

I plan to not just reskinning on top of the old design but also changing the core gameplay, story and layout. Currently the new map is more than twice as big *sweats. With how LUA events and potential there is I decided to try also painting the foreground overlays and interiors, so thats a lot more work to do as well!

Its a tough piece for me as I can't design well, so all these planning are pretty new. It will be a fun challenge and just wanted to bring you guys along the ride!

I tihnk I am finished with getting the layout and a lot of props for the lounge, but i had a hard time with the elf workshop





I wanted like wooden cogs and some machinary to help the elfs automate their workflow but i have no idea how it looks like or how it will function.
I realized i need to step back for abit and actually think in the setting like what would be needed. Also found these cardboard toys and im pretty much sold on their mechanics and aesthetic

Probably after writing down these assets I will be taking some time to design the specific machines itself 1st
