The only system I really see working is one where you aren't required to have a lot of candies, but new prizes are added slowly as the event progresses. Then, in the end, if you somehow didn't have time, there could be an amnesty week (or weeks) that allow you to make up prizes.

I actually like that idea, instead of having players be overwhelmed by how much they have to grind in the first place.

Nobody should worry about how long it will take them to finish... I have a 4 day holiday weekend and I'm actually going on a trip without my laptop for once, which means no tfm agh.
Everyone's panicking when we have until after november 30 (which doesn't look very far but actually is!) to finish. 2 months doesn't seem like a lot of time, but trust me, we have a lot of time.

((plus it seems like if you know how to do at least 2 of the 3 maps you can get around 30-40 pieces of candy per day if you do work besides the computer and play the event map when it comes))

There are 2 more new titles. From the slot machine? Adding about 250 for that. So total 4500.

You seem to get about 10 candies per map IF things go well. I'll assume it's once again on the 20 minute schedule. So about 30 candies per hour IF you are good at the maps.
So... that's 4500/30 = 150 hours of gameplay needed??????
Play 1 hour a day, you are nowhere near completing it. Play 3 hours a day, then you might complete it. And that's only for the new rewards. New players need much more for the old rewards.... And much more if you are a true completionist and want max consumables too.

Please tell me that I missed something important or incorrectly did the math..... Otherwise this is just another super grindy event....
Maybe you can trade the candies and stuff, but I highly doubt that some random mouse will give me the bottle thing for free....

according to this, it takes about 4500 candies to finish the event.
if you get 30-40 candies per day, you'll finish in 112.5-150 days
and um sort of obvious but both are larger than 54 days

e/ unsure if the math is correct? 4500 candies/30 [or 40] candies per day = 150 [or 112.5] days?

That's the problem! Check my quoted math above. We NEED lots of time to complete it. About 3 hours a day everyday, and that's assuming you consistently get 10 candies. You either become an exhausted mouse or you don't mind the grinding but real life gets in the way. If you were busy for a few weeks, then the event almost becomes impossible.
Just because the event lasts 2 months, shouldn't mean that we have to play everyday for 2 months to finish the event. Or at least, playing 1 hour a day sounds "somewhat" reasonable, but 3 hours???

Again, if my math is wrong and I was complaining about nothing, please correct me.

(I know noone is forcing me to 100% the event and this is entirely up to me, but that's not the point and you get what I'm saying)

I'm a bit confused..
I thought the reason for extending the events to 2+ months was because of complaints about not being able to finish it in a week or two (since people are often away or busy, especially during holidays). Increasing the play time needed to finish makes sense if the event runs for a longer period of time, but I feel the required play time has shifted from a week to at least a month...

We are ALREADY calculating new items only. Meaning new players need even more time (roughly guessing, 200 hours?) to complete it.

a little confused about the box map: i assume it's about teamwork but apparently most of us don't have any which leads to sad times when we fall into the holes 5 seconds after the map starts ./cri

literally i only like the lightning maps lol, i SUCK at flappy mouse awh
