Left as is: @7116732 - Yuugiooohhhh - Your applied edits are appreciate and while the map is actually quite pleasing to look at, there is somethings that I find poor about it, in regards to the layout and gameplay it will provide. The path you gave the Shaman is more or less forced for them to take, and I personally am not too fond of the massive cloud surrounding the grass ground, it's a bit excessive. It's more of a support than anything, to be honest. So, if we could remove the diagonal ice ground closest to where the Shaman spawns, or at least make it smaller as well as the cloud surrounding the aforementioned ground, as well. @7121281 - Tohpy - AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH @7116265 - Maxislow - While it's a.., interesting concept, I honestly don't like it, to put it blunt. The map overall gives this very crowded and small space for the Shaman to manipulate with their builds, but this can result in provoking them with vexation/annoyance. The paths you supplied them to use are very forced and doesn't allow them to be creative with how they complete the map. My advise to you is to start over completely with a new concept or idea, however if you wish to keep the mech of the map, please shrink it considerably next time. @7066978 - Rikkeshang - AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH @3633488 - Dextech - Your edits are appreciated, however I'm sure I spoke to you about this before; I don't like the limited amount of space they have for the hole, as well as the vertical ground so close to the cheese as both of these limits the amount of room that the Shaman has to use for their builds, it cuts off any inspiration or creative that they had before, as well. Something I can advise to you, because I do enjoy the interesting design of the map, is to lift up the entire left of the map, as well as the cheese too, but just a bit. Also to perhaps where the grounds are near the cheese, make them smaller and move them to the left, to give that area more space. Maybe you can move the Shaman on top of these grounds as well? (the ground above the cheese) @3591443 - Sekui - Due to the excessive use of diagonal grounds, it kindof makes the ground uninteresting or without any concept or idea behind it, the only challenges for the Shaman would be to make many twists and turns due to the layout you have implemented. I understand that you have two distinct paths, however one will be used more frequently than the others because the paths are unbalanced. My advice to you would be to grasp a better understanding about space and how the Shaman would interact with it, as well as some obstacles, because in it's current state, the map is very dull and monotonous as a whole. @7025166 - Miirp - I don't really like maps that require the use of portals, to be honest. While the concept is new, I suppose, I didn't really enjoy it because with portals, it kindof cuts off the inspiration and creativity from the Shaman regarding their builds. At the very least, the Shaman would need to do just set a plank or bridge type build under where the cheese is and then continue to use portals for the rest of the time. @7118956 - Papelio - AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH @1121345 - Danielmago - I appreciate your dedication and hopes for this map, but with all of the edits you applied to it, I really don't see this map going anywhere, my advice to you would be to start over with a new map. @7108579 - Kwf - I appreciate the edits you applied into this map, and I must say, I am actually a fan of the layout of it, seeing how it doesn't really allow the Shaman to use a mere bridge solution. Yet, there is a problem regarding how tight the space is now. If you were to remove the defilante coins below the cheese, submit this again and I'll P1 it. @7099080 - Pjfsamora - I'm not much of a fan of the layout you have put behind this map, especially with the use of clouds you have implemented, especially near the hole; I find it useless and a bit of an annoyance for the Shaman to avoid in the process of building. The area as to where the Shaman spawns as well is unpleasant as well. Please either change the layout of your map, or you can take away some of the clouds and move the cheese to another location (or you can flip the l shape over) @7121578 - Poteerfotter - AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH @7121648 - Bruno4ponto0 - See above @7128252 - B_R - I don't really like how one of the solutions for the Shaman to take is a massive bridge and then two ramps. There's nothing for them to be inspired by at all in this map, due to the lack of obstacles and the general layout of it all, it makes the gameplay monotonous at best. @7121858 - Illuminachob - Having the Shaman and mice spawn right next to a massive obstacle is a poor choice since it can overwhelm and annoy the Shaman easily since it's quite tight and forces them to build off-screen. There's a lot of areas in the map that won't be used whatsoever, which results in the map being quite generic and unappealing. I'm not sure what your purpose or idea was behind the trampoline, but it doesn't do anything and doesn't require the Shaman to build for that portion of the map, taking off of their workload. My advice to you would be to perhaps go into a utility and load some P4 maps so you can get a general idea in what we look for and some layouts for the maps. @7118261 - Lzereturn - The map is extremely generic and has a major concern for the excessive amount of space that hasn't been used in the map so far, which can make the gameplay on the map quite boring and unexciting to have to go through, also the only obstacle for the Shaman's to have to encounter would be to avoid the grounds, or they could even use the boxes to their advantage, which renders the map without much of a challenge for them to overcome entirely. My suggestion to you would be to come to realize that we need to get a better understanding of space for maps and add more obstacles to the map, because where it stands now, it's quite tedious and uninteresting to have to handle entirely. @7121973 - Tarciomaneri - For starters, I don't really like how the starting ground for the Shaman is ice, since it's just an annoyance for them to find a stable ground to build on. Unto the actual review, you have added so many diagonal grounds that the path for the Shaman to take for their builds is very forced, which cancels out their own creativity and inspiration for the builds they had beforehand. However, if you were to remove some, the majority way for the Shaman's to build will still be the same; a massive bridge and ramps. Sure, it'd be less frustrating, but it doesn't change anything in those regards. My advice to you would be to start over with a new map with a new layout behind it, so we won't run into this problem again. @7113095 - Grimmaro - While it has cute simplicity and a nice idea to it, the paths you have given are extremely unbalanced as majority of the Shaman's will let the mice fall down from the boosters and then teleport them to the hole, simply put. This is a classic example as of why portals aren't a good asset to have for Shaman maps, as it completely ruins the map and takes away any creativity or the resourcefulness the Shaman had prior. My advice to you would be to remove the portals and perhaps move the second cheese (bottom) to somewhere more appealing. @3372807 - Garyarcanine - I'm not a huge fan on the circular shapes in this map, but that may be a personal preference ideal. Regardless, the map is quite bland as there's not much going on. The main idea is obviously these circle shapes, and there doesn't seem to be any other challenge or concept behind it other than that. Moving on, the Shaman will have to build a lot of bridge like structures or ramps, which as I'm sure you know, cancels out their creaivity and inspiration that they had for their builds. Please fix this by perhaps adding some obstacles so that they cannot use these simplistic fixes and perhaps even move the hole. @7122053 - Yahhir - The Shaman's only use for this map would be to either spirit or balloon the mice out of the water, nothing more, nothing less. @5425532 - Thegbc - I don't see this map becoming more than P1. @7065843 - Viptoto - I don't really like how the mice can move about and even get to the area where the cheese is without the Shaman's help, as it just takes away from what they could of done, yes, it may be less overwhelming that way, but it also takes away from their credibility. Other than that, this map strongly supports a forced-path layout as the Shaman only has a few ways to complete the map yet, it'll all be in the same path. Rendering this map boring, tedious and monotonous, to put it blunt. @7122261 - Gamog - Since everything is so clustered together, it gives the atmosphere of being quite crowded. It's not too much of a problem, but it does limit what the Shaman would need to do for this map. The right space won't be used at all, hardly so perhaps we could space somethings out to give more room? Also, could you please move the hole aroudn so it isn't snug against that corner? It'll be irritating to build towards in it's current state. @7113299 - Tioyudis - As you probably figured out if you have seen some of my other reviews, I don't really like maps that require portals either because they take away from the Shaman's creativity entirely and makes the map so simple that there's no longer any challenge, or it just creates some more problems later on. For this map, it's the latter. This map will be frustrating to build for especially since of the cloud surrounding the cheese as this limits the Shaman's space a bit and could result in annoyance. However, without it, the map (that is already quite simple) will become extremely bland and without much challenge, there's not much that I personally see that can be done for this map, so I'll have to ask you to please consider another concept for your next map. @6479868 - Dragonitto - AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH @7122677 - Apelidunsete - See above @6682193 - Zeleny - This concept or idea is already in rotation numerous times from what I've seen, but moving on from that, the map serves no difficulty whatsoever and is quite on the generic side of things, making it boring and uninteresting entirely to have to go through. The Shaman would only require to build a bridge type structure along with a ramp, none of which are thought provoking on their behalf and are commonly seen as a easy way out. My suggestion to you would be to perhaps shorten this massive diagonal wood obstacle you have so that you have more room to work with to add more things, none too irritating, of course, but we still want to avoid these easy fixes and provoke them to be inspired when they (the Shaman) have to build. @4366459 - Theirwaste - AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH @7122329 - V_21 - The map has a cute simplicity to it and I really like the general layout of it all, but there's a few fiexs that I'd like to see done before you submit this again, could you move the grounds (upper right) a tiny bit closer to the right to give this area http://prntscr.com/f2oh8u more room? Could you also move the cheese a bit more to the bottom so that it isn't so crowded in that space? Once you submit it again, I'lll P4 this map. @7088822 - Antonioepf - The map serves no difficulty whatsoever and is quite on the generic side of things, making it boring and uninteresting entirely to have to go through. The Shaman would only require to build a bridge type structure along with a ramp, none of which are thought provoking on their behalf and are commonly seen as a easy way out. My suggestion to you would be to stop making everything so linear, it makes the building styles simplistic and perhaps even repetitive. Perhaps you can take out some of the grounds and replace them with some obstacles instead, so that there isn't a possible way to complete the map by just a bridge and ramp would be splendid. @7111193 - Tdpnice - I like the layout and design of the map, however I'm not too fond of the use of chocolate you have here, perhaps if you could switch out the grounds with another material would be splendid, also to maybe move the grounds closest to the hole to the right a tad bit to give that center opening more room for the Shaman to move and build around. Submit this map again and we'll see what we can do from here! @6172222 - Noobsones - No. Bad. Stop it. @7072854 - Tdft - This map is extremely linear and without much challenge whatsoever other than the excessive use of the clouds. other than that, there's nothing to make the Shaman resourceful. My advice to you would be to shift some of the grounds around, remove majority of the clouds and to put some diagonal obstacles instead of only horizontal. @7111114 - Leaomestre - I love the concept that you had for this, regarding the entire 'no build section' concept, however, I think it'd perhaps be best to move the hole a tiny bit closer to the mice and Shaman, or to at least remove some of the no build section by length. Once you do this, submit the map again and I'll P1 it. I don't find that it'll be good enough for P4 due to everything else being so simple to handle, as it'd only take a bridge and a ramp perhaps to complete the map otherwise. @5045049 - Viniciusdara - This map definitely supports the concept of bridges and ramps, which I do not tolerate nor enjoy, honestly. As I've said many times before, they only result in the Shaman not being able to be creative with their builds nor be inspired, this map also goes hand and hand with being a forced-path as well, which takes away from the Shaman's freedom/creativity entirely as well. Please make better use of the right side fo the map and remove the excessive use of vertical grounds, as that is what caused this dilemma in the first place. @6780277 - Framnm - It's a cute layout to it, nothing overwhelming nor vexing, but I'd first like to suggest that you perhaps remove the springs, as it's only less for the Shaman to have to handle, as well as perhaps lifting up the ground in the center of the map (the one with the tree on it) so that there is more space to maneuver about. @4292890 - Pgmsule - This map is extremely generic and only offers two distinct paths to complete the entire map, both of them involving the use of bridges and ramps. @5995171 - Zombiewd - I understand that you attempted to put more ways to complete the map, however having the clouds as the only offered obstacle probably isn't a good start, everything else on the other hand is extremely simplistic and without challenge nor difficulty. Please either remove the clouds and add some obstacles, or make them smaller along with more obstacles. None too overwhelming or vexing, but enough to make the map interesting. @7100040 - Mquk - Everything in this map is extremely clustered and gives off the atmosphere of being crowded which as a result could vex the Shaman greatly as it limits their space to build. My advice to you would be to spread everything out and give the Shaman space to build and use their surroundings, also to move the Shaman spawn to another location so that they can cover more ground. @7125948 - Datproguy - AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH @7127713 - Renaxan - As you probably figured out if you have seen some of my other reviews, I don't really like maps that require portals either because they take away from the Shaman's creativity entirely and makes the map so simple that there's no longer any challenge, or it just creates some more problems later on. For this map, it's both of these concepts. This map will be frustrating to build for especially since everything is more or less clustered together. The map itself is already extremely bland and without much challenge, there's not much that I personally see that can be done for this map, so I'll have to ask you to please consider another concept for your next map. @6999997 - V_Ntage - This map definitely supports the concept of having a forced-path, seeing the excessive use of clouds and the crevices you implemented, there's no other way to build, to be honest. My suggestion to you would be to remove these clouds and to put grounds that aren't only diagonal, use either vertical or horizontal, be creative and diverse in your map-making, try not to be stuck with only one concept or idea. @7122277 - Ox_X0 - Generic @7126585 - Verdolagas - This map definitely supports the concept of having a forced-path, seeing the excessive use of clouds and the crevices you implemented, there's no other way to build, to be honest. My suggestion to you would be to remove these clouds and to put grounds that aren't only diagonal, use either vertical or horizontal, be creative and diverse in your map-making, try not to be stuck with only one concept or idea. @3038391 - Darklantern - This map is extremely confusing and has even given the Shaman and mice difficulty as of what to do. My advice to you would be to put an indicator on which grounds the mice and Shaman can phase through. However, I'll warn you that I don't see this map as P4 nor P1, primarily because it's too generic and doesn't offer anything to rotation. @7119883 - Rkubi - Majority of the builds that the Shaman would take would be a massive bridge build along with some ramps, there's no creativity or thought process to go along with their creations to finish the map whatsoever, this is due to the lack of obstacles that you haven't put yet. The gameplay wouldn't be fun nor interesting as well due to the layout of the map, my advice to you would be to perhaps add more vertical grounds (one or two, small preferably) and to move the cheese away from that corner as it can be a bit frustrating to build towards. Also, remember to make sure that the map can't be completed to easily, next time. @4885091 - Hea - AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH @7128900 - Fuzzyfirsdog - It's a interesting layout, one I haven't seen before nor frequently, but the map itself is still quite simplistic or for lack of a better word, generic. @5476842 - Cristinescu - AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH @7129639 - Niiitrix - See above @7104169 - Lassapq - See above @7129480 - Thejkb_X - See above @7105999 - Uhuge - See above @7130154 - Criperti - See above @7130337 - Pashele - See above @7130805 - Gengargastly - See above P1'ed: @6450817 - Nitenrock - I couldn't help but to P1 it, the map has such a cute concept and idea behind it. @6356376 - Apollopolo - At a first glimpse, I was a little skeptical of this map, since the chocolate placements in the ground seemed a bit odd, however it seems to offer just enough support to keep the map away from being too overwhelming with the excessive amount of clouds you have implemented. The map is a little too simple for my personal taste, but that's alright, we wouldn't want to frustrate the Shaman's further with what they must overcome now. P1 will do alright. @6828888 - Quinzinhojr - I like the design of the map and the few ways to complete it that you offered, however they more or less result in the same fashion type of build, which can become a bit repetitive in the end, there is also a lot of space to cover for one Shaman, which can become a bit irritating at best. I'll P1 it, but perhaps submit this to P8 instead? @7121203 - Ldn - I understand that you have implemented a lot of time and edits into this map and that there's a lot of ways to complete it, especially seeing how the water isn't too vexing to h ave to encounter (which is amazing). I'm happy to see that you have some kind of challenge to it, regarding the vertical ice grounds so that is quite alright. I do not think this could be P4 however, seeing how there is a lot of ground for a single Shaman to cover. So, P1 will do. @6436268 - Tiojeje - I love the design you have for this map, it has such a cute simplicity to it, however there is only two distinct ways to complete the map (not counting the crevice that you have put from the clouds). The only challenge as well would for the Shaman to maneuver around, but it's good enough. Will be discussed: None Ignored: @629062 - Thiago3434 - Posted more than 1 map (#8209) @894502 - Thiago3434 - Posted more than 1 map (#8209) @539452 - Thiago3434 - Posted more than 1 map (#8209) @7124143 - Vartej12 - Posted more than 1 map (#8224) @7124168 - Vartej12 - Posted more than 1 map (#8224) @7127760 - Meddao - Posted more than 1 map (#8226) @7127853 - Meddao - Posted more than 1 map (#8226) @6349612 - Pacisus - Posted more than 1 map (#8230) @6238393 - Pacisus - Posted more than 1 map (#8230) @611565 - Thiago3434 - Posted more than 1 map (#8204, #8206) @608251 - Thiago3434 - Posted more than 1 map (#8204, #8206) @7126756 - Makudomakudo - Posted more than 1 map (#8222, #8242) @7130145 - Makudomakudo - Posted more than 1 map (#8222, #8242) Dernière modification le 1493676720000 |
