It's not as easy as "fuck it. their fault for being here. who cares if they're 9. they shouldn't have joined anyways. fuck their brain's unstable maturity level", haruh. They are not old enough to comprehend some of the choices they make, and that is ok, but transformice should recognize this and work on making it less of an issue than what it currently is. It isn't healthy. I would never allow my 11 year old little sister on transformice for this very reason.

so true. But my sibling 12 and i let her on, only because shes mature enough to handle the situation. Different story for everykid, though.

Almost every kid will learn and use those words eventually, so it doesn't really matter.

It does matter.... which is why they have different maturity ratings for explicit content in the first place. Some children can not handle early exposure.

Spook, it does matter, you're right. These nine year olds are telling us not to use bad words, but I don't see why. If they hadn't already been exposed to that stuff, then they wouldn't be telling them not to use those words; they'd just be confused. My point is that these kids that go on transformice already had their early exposure before they went on transformice, or most of them did. For the ones who didn't, I suppose there is a problem. But then again, they should've read the rules.. Although most nine year olds don't, for some weird reason.

Switching it so the language filter is automatically on when you make an account... and we have to go to the settings to turn it off... rather than the other way around.... perhaps that could help?


or create a screen that pops up when mice join that reminds them of steps they can take to make the game's chat a safer place?

WE will use them, WE make jokes with them, if these "kids" are not happy they can leave the room :)

believe what you want, the filter is on when you first sign into the game, and it is only turned off when you turn it off itself. in fact ive had it turned back on without me doing so numerous times.

what program, this "problem" that ur talking about and the "solutions" that you WANT, are not POSSIBLE!

if the game gonna create a language filter, she will have to create it to all COMUNITIES! and do you know how much work that takes? EVERY WORD?

Lmao I don't know if you saw but a couple pages ago I did say it took about a year for all languages/swears/workarounds to be compiled but guess what? There were still updates.
