Are you familiar with argumentum ad populum? Citing a majority agreement does not validate your argument, as it is entirely possible the majority is wrong. Look back, how many of those agreeing with you provide insightful or meaningful reaons for their opinion?

Yep sure, the operating system which has consistently sold in the millions and increases its sales year-on-year and has made Apple one of the richest companies in the world, and is also consistently rated highly by reviewers and consumers alike, will fail.

Actually, Flash was never supported from the word go. The original iPhone never supported Flash, and the original iPhone did not have an app store for a whole year after its release.

It was left out because of concerns with performance, battery life and its status as a proprietary media format.

Gosh, anecdotal evidence! I wonder how indicative this is of phone and desktop behavior in general— oh wait, we can’t extrapolate that because it’s the smallest sample size possible.

No, it doesn’t. Android fans think Apple is restrictive, hence why they don’t buy Apple devices. Your opinion does not necessarily inform us as to what devices you actually own.

Very valid for this forum seeing as majority of users connect to the forum from inside the game. Connecting to the foru from TFM is seamless. Now, for other sites, where forum exists for its sole intent, then you may have a point in current environment. But environments change.

Playing the game and browsing the forum are VERY different use cases. When playing a game one expects to be using a desktop or laptop as the game requires a physical keyboard and pointing device to be played in any real capacity.

The forum however does not—or rather, should not—require this. Its focus is on community discussions, and to best facilitate discussions you need to make them as accessible as possible. Plenty of people like to browse sites like forums on devices like tablets and phones – I visit forums on my phone pretty regularly, because I can contribute to discussions when I’m, say, on a bus.

All you need for a forum is a way to input text and browse. A touch screen and an on-screen keyboard are more than adequate for this. And to say that going from game to forum needs to be seamless ignores that these areas have different use cases and have different input requirements.
