Secretive, nobody wants tabs on their chat screen if you know what I mean. They want to block the chat completely but without have to do /chat our keister or something random like that.

Sometimes, I have friends/family members come over, and I show them Transformice. I have to open a blank chat with ./chat so we dont see the rude things people say.

I find it easier to just have no text on the screen at all instead of a chat tab open, because you never know if the person ur showing tfm to will click on the chat tab with a bunch of people chatting.

if it's possible to block whispers and [formerly] tribe chat, im p sure it should be possible to block all of the chats.

To mute all chat, you can just type /fontsize 999
