I'm still not getting why people quit because of this. I mean sure, it's got quite a few bugs, but those'll all be worked out by the next week or two.

They miss the transformice in 2010 or when they registered.

It's not that I miss 2011. Although 2011 was fricken amazing. I actually think transformice reached it's peak somewhere about right before or when they added fraises.

It's just that the new interface is very unaestheticly pleasing and we didn't really need a new interface.

You might not know it, but i think 2011 is the year you love the most.

Most of the people I know who quit or no longer play didn't do so because of updates or a lack of them. They left because of how people treat one another on this game. They were tired of the hostility and the lack of moderation or attempts to control the community and shape it into something that is more friendly.

I do notice that too, but this is how most I'm-quitting scenarios go:

Scenario 1:

Mouse: I'm quitting, I'm tired of this game.
-10 minutes later-
Mouse has just connected.

Scenario 2:
Mouse: I'm quitting, tfm is getting boring.
-7 months later-
Mouse has just connected.
Mouse: Just checking back to see how tfm is doing.

Scenario 3:
Mouse: I'm done with tfm.
-never hear from them again-

Most people don't really "quit" just because they don't like something (most of them come back). I'm guessing that the people tfm are "losing" will get used to the update, or they are really just quitting forever. Yet, more players join transformice everyday, so the chances of it dying are quite slim at the moment.

Scenario 2 happened to me :o OMG !

These days I just chill at the forums instead of playing the actual game. With or without updates, people will quit either way.

People come and people go. Although I do have the feeling EN is more empty than usual - a feeling backed by the fact that my favourite room 8 is now usually too empty to play in - I wouldn't attribute this solely to the new updates. It's September, everyone went back to school or uni and have less free time. So of course you're going to find that right now people are less active on tfm.

Most probably i can assume that different months of the year, people have their school etc etc.
some have work and have no itme.

But what i see in tfm lately, mice wants to quit because of...
1: Cyberbullying problems?
2: Busy (eg: Work, school, EXAM)
3: Parents took their computer or something.
4: Got hooked on different games.

Talking about no. 4, we can assume that happens because majority of you say:
"Transformice is going downfall!"
"My friends left, so im leaving"
"Too little/ much updates"
"Nostalgia isnt thr anymore."
"Buggy."

Is normally those responds.
But some of them i cant help feeling there is no need to quit.
Like Friends, we separte to our different interest, why make yourself quit because of them?

Nostalgia isnt there, true, i gotta admit i like 2011 community, but things change, and by far, this new generation is really going to be a mean one (lets be happy that is not those old times where we have war..)
and nostalgia is about finding yourself from your past, and recall those times. Be happy that you remember those ltitle times. It can spark up one day again.

too little updates = boring, too much = you say is going downfall.
then what do youy want? and is not only you, thousands of us wants our own way, even if you control the company, there is going to be people like you, scolding at you. So whats the point of fighting for?

either that, the new players will cover up those missing spots left behind, one of my tribemate never came back, but is fine, she has her life to go on. But if you want to quit... would you still remember the bonds you made, the journey?
Is it fine to leave them behind? idk, you choose it really. im not forcing you to stay, but at least remember old times, nostalgia, you know?

there's a huge lack of events going on from around april fools til halloween(with an exception this year since april fools was postponed), and with school and stuff going on as well you can't really expect the game to be flurishing

The update causes lag. It's been near about 7 days since they started updating. People don't want to spend money on a place that takes 7 full days or more to update.

The majority of us don't even care about the community platform and I've met maybe two older users that actually like the new interface.

I don't see the point of this update. There's nothing exciting or attention grabbing. If I wanted to talk to people on other games, I'd actually play those games.

My ending thoughts...they need to hurry up and finish updating or just put it back to the way it was and stop using us as test subjects.

In my opinion transformice is losing players because the game that used to be fun turned into a company looking for money. Making updates without considering the community players feedback is another reason why I think players quit.

when they first introduced fraises, lots of players didnt quit. money doesn't really have anything to do with it.

The game is currently in a rather grim state, so I would say there is a decline in people just because of this bother. But ofcourse when the ordeal is fixed, I will expect most the players to return.
