I used to use Gimp until I found out it is very crappy. Now I use what Pyrubble is using, which is Manga Studio 5, you people should try it out, it's da awesomeness bomb!!! :D

ummm excuse me this is the gimp thread, it's really insulting posting that here, gimp is very good for my needs and other people's as well. I don't care if //you// think it's crappy, but saying that on this thread is not helpful.

You'll have to be more specific. What exactly do you want to ddo?

there is not, but you can change the shape of the brush by double clicking the paintbrush tool and clicking on the square with the black circle in it. then simply click on the shape you want your brush to be.

imo gimp is very good.

also, gimp = free
manga studio 5 = ~$50

I think charcoal 3 is pretty close to looking like crayon? (in the place plum said)

It's "crappy" until you know how to effectively(don't know if I spelled that right) use it.
Like lines will most likely look "crappy" until you know how to use smooth stroke

gimp wont open


it keeps stopping at the loading page where you open it up with the paint brushes and rainbow crap

and it opens up the windows things where it will message you a solution if it finds one

this keeps happening

and i really want to draw, i feel like crying.

Sorry that's a bug, I can't help you with it :( Wait a few hours and then try again is the only advice I can give

an admin told me to rename tool presets or delete it, i tried renaming it, didnt work, deleted it, didnt work, she said if the problem consists then rename the entire gimp profile which i did and it still doesnt work. i guess i should reinstall it, but im worried that my saved files will dissapear.

saved files do not disappear, don't worry! they're separate from the gimp program itself :)

ok good, now to uninstall it the 80 millionth time that i did before because i forgot to check the icon thing, lol.


*edit: windows: are you sure you want to uninstall gimp and all its components? *bites fingernails*

you can use the search options in your files to find it :)
