Admins are aware of the jumplock problem. Tig was too busy today to attempt to fix it again today -he was working on the report system. I'm sure he'll get around to it tomorrow if he has time. I do not believe a moderator has ever said they aren't allowed to give players information about how it works, but it's still in the beta stages. And it honestly works just like you'd image it to; player reports, moderator sees report, moderator deals with report. Sprinkle some karma points up top :) |

Moiety a dit : Do moderators recieve credit if they deal with a report? Or can a few hardworking mods do everything and some just sit back and be lazy. |

The latter. We're aren't hired, we're volunteers, and a system like "credits" for answering reports or having certain time slots for moderating etc is never going to happen. We hire people who want to help, so more than likely everyone does their fair share. |

Sydoline a dit : To be honest, it may seem like no harm, but isn't this just like Reddit's client? I don't think the game is intended to be played as a red mouse with a bunch of ghost mice. This will become the norm among "skilled" players so long as it's available because it is advantageous to use it. Sure, everyone has it, but I don't think this is the way the game is intended to be played. |

Fxie a dit : I have to agree on the part of it being like Reddit's client. Tummbumm a dit : This was the reason I thought underage people could be chosen to volunteer but I guess the french law is just THAT strict :c Tummbumm a dit : Moderators will be less important directly with the community if it's going to be like this. Now most players will use the report system instead of whispering mods and saying "Call mod" So I guess some mods can do what they feel like and not be held accountable of whispers anymore. |

Oh yeah laura (former supermod) told me that the /watch thing was originally a part of a mod client and she found it useful, as a mod, to catch hackers (which is the purpose here lol). Apparently there's a way to make it different colours too *-* |

Oh wow I still get jumplock in bootcamp lol... I thought mice were still complaining about jumplock in general like normal rooms... aha |

Fxie a dit : It's not so much a "Reddits client" thing as it is a "every mod client that has ever been made" thing. Luckily now we can have these tools in an official way. As far as players being able to do it, I don't know, perhaps it was easier to code? Regardless, at least since players can use it to for whatever reason there won't be any speculation that mods are somehow using this as an advantage to gain stats as there was some time ago. |

Barrydarsow a dit : That's a ridiculous accusation and not a good enough one to change the game so drastically because you well know the majority of players who know about it will be using /watch for its benefits and ultimately change the way the game is played. There will always be "mods have an unfair advantage" or "map crew abuses /np"--that doesn't mean everyone should have /watch or /np. |

How exactly will /watch be used in a negative way? The only use I can see with it for normal players is by watching yourself while bootcamping or racing, and by everyone having access to it there's no cries of inequality like Barry has said. |

I'm pretty sure /watch has no negative uses. It helps people see where the grounds are when the place is too crowded. Some people just use it so they can focus on themselves a little better. How exactly would /watch change the way the game is played? As far as I'm concerned I still prefer playing the old-fashion way. A lot of people don't really bother with it anyways. It also reduces a bit of lag for crowded rooms. Lastly, players can also use the command whenever they see a potential hacker in the room so they can be sure of it and not make false reports. Do you guys see from who you get the report? |

Methusalah a dit : Yup! And if a person is reported multiple times, we see who else reported them too |

Whiskypickle a dit : Fxie a dit : The issue isn't an unfair advantage, it's that it's advantageous and as such most people would use it. Basically, imagine if this were the default look of the game. Imagine if, by default, you were a red mouse playing with ghost mice. Doesn't seem like what Transformice was meant to be, does it? This would be the default for most active players. Transformice would become the red mouse ghost mice game because it's beneficial to play it that way. I don't know how to explain this better; I wish someone would understand what I'm saying... |

Fxie a dit : I guess that's what you mean? well I have no feeling about this,I don't think it's a problem. Transformice was meant to be [transform], it failed, but TFM is still a good game. |

Spacycolours a dit : I swear, that is the most retarded and ignorant comment i've ever read. |

Cyberkid a dit : I don't see why, if people want to play it with a feature in the game, why wouldn't they be allowed to? |

Siuker a dit : Actually, the transform maps hadn't been added for a year or so after the game was made. Spacycolours a dit : The same reason a lot of people want cats and cats aren't being added. |
