Satash a dit : I agree with this. Hopefully I don't sound rude or anything, but next round, I would add categories that are hard to draw together for extra points. That way it'll be more difficult to earn the extra, increasing the challenge for the people participating |

Satash a dit : Ejaffa a dit : We chose to make the three themes all related, so that is why they are similar. For round two's themes, they are still all related, though it is much more subtle than this time and harder to draw together (or not, depending on who you are.) It's more like a few sub-categories in a main category. I would think that it should be not that difficult to draw all the themes together but not so easy that the categories are easily mistaken for one another. Con and I have already planned out the next round's themes before we created the contest and I don't think we will change it now. If we decide the themes will be too easy to draw together and we have other ideas, we could possibly edit it. For now, I hope you guys don't have too much problems with these themes. Also, these above sentences only reflect my personal opinions and not any of Con's. Girlkirbyy a dit : added! |

Girlkirbyy a dit : :I guys please stop asking.. it's like an artist and a request We'll get it done of course. Both Susan and I take judging pretty seriously and we would rather not rush and give out unfair scores. |

Judging: Sadlelight (2) Anatomy: 4.5/7 Detail: 1.5/4 Neatness: 2/5 Colors: 2/4 Originality: 4/7 Impact: 3/7 Theme: 4/5 Explanations: The anatomy has nothing glaringly bad, however there are a few things, such as the ears, which are uneven and the left ear is turned away too much. They also appear to be cat like. There isn’t too much detail but you did add in smoke and wrinkles and patterns on the shirt. Lineart is generally shaky, but nothing really goes out of the lines too obviously other than the shirt patterns. Also, whatever is going on on the grill either looks like you just messily scribbled some lines, or that you used some sort of tools to create perfectly straight lines which are unnatural on the meat. The patty looks like it melted onto the bottom of the grill under the bars (credit to Satash). The colors don’t clash or look awkward together, but there is a lot of white space, taking away from the overall feeling of the piece. The originality there. The character is completely done with cooking and doesn’t care about the well-being of the patty. My first impression is that the background is bland, giving nothing to the impression of the setting. Having the grill in the corner makes me feel like it is not as important. The theme is pretty obvious. You can tell that the character is barbecuing, but since the grill is in a tiny corner, you might take the wrong hint that it isn’t important. Multiple Themes: None (+0) TOTAL: 21/35 Sorry agian :C Dernière modification le 1406148900000 |

Judging: Griffincraft Anatomy: 5/7 Detail: 3/4 Neatness:4/5 Colors:1.5/4 Originality: 4/7 Impact: 4/7 Theme: 4/5 Explanation: The mice anatomy isn’t bad, but the cat’s snout looks funky. It is really long and almost crocodile-like. The brown mouse is just touching the spatula and doesn’t have it’s paw holding it. There is a considerable amount of detail in this picture, but no paws or texture. There are cracks in the wall and folds in the banner. These are all good detail but the cracks look really sudden and looks like it is just drawn in and not a crevice because there is no texture. The picnic blanket seems to be on a slanted floor. It’s not angled correctly if you were to place it in a room angled like the walls showed. The blanket is also awkwardly shaded since the squares are shaded as if they were an object placed on top of the blanket and not a pattern. Colors aren’t anything special, they are just very simple colours. Also, the shading using grey/white makes the colors more dull; a good effect for the concrete. I like the setting, it is very original for these themes, however I don’t understand why such a thing is happening there. Are they having a party? I really do like the addition of banners and the cat. That’s pretty original but other than that, it is not very creative, with a mouse normally barbecuing and a picnic blanket with some food. My first impact is that this was pretty well done. Nothing horrible stuck out to me except for the crocodile cat snout. But I do find it weird that the mice are oblivious to the cat. They don’t seem scared or anything. There isn’t much expression portrayed in this. I’d also wonder if there was a light source in a mouse hole... but I can’t really say anything about that. The theme is well portrayed and not confusing. You can clearly see that the mice are barbecuing and picnicking, but I do think that mice wouldn’t be partying if there was a cat at the door. Judging: Girlkirbyy Anatomy: 4.5/7 Detail: 2.5/4 Neatness: 2.5/5 Colors:2.5/4 Originality: 5.5/7 Impact: 5/7 Theme: 3.5/5 Explanation: Right off the bat, the first thing I notice about the anatomy is that the mice have unnaturally short and boob-like arms...I would accept short arms (Powerpuff girls or such) but the way you drew them in the middle of the chest don’t look like arms or limbs. Some of the mices’ snouts are to the side. They are facing 3/4 forward but their snouts look like they’re facing the side. The balloon strings are also bent. If you have a weight on one end the string would be straight. There isn’t too much detail in here. The tree looks flat and not natural. Trees usually don’t bend at an awfully sharp angle. I do like the the leaf shading. You can tell there are layers, but they look pasted on. I also like the little details like the teacups, words and cheese holes. It’s strange how the mice are in front of all of the leaves when they’re sitting on them. There should be some leaves in front of them, like the pile of cheese. The piece is pretty neat, but there are some sloppier spots. such as the blanket and the tree. I am also confused by the picnic basket since I can’t clearly tell which way it’s facing. You should also pay more attention to your writing, because it is shaky. The colors are bright and vivid and catch my eye, but they aren’t overpowering and blinding with less saturated colors to balance them out. It is fairly original. You wouldn’t place the mice in the setting of a tree when you think about picnics and tea parties. Also I like how they’re not having a cliche “eating on a blanket” picnic. I think the first impact is that the mice are pretty cute and have a lot of fun and personality portrayed. Multiple Themes: 2 (+1) TOTAL: 27/35 |
