Most laptops have a side panel you can use as a scrollwheel, my laptop at work is from 2006 and has it.

I've never owned a laptop that has, nor have I ever used one that has that wasn't expensive. :S

it may not be obvious, mine has one but you wouldn't know until you tried it because it's not noticeable by any indication.

On mine, you can scroll down by dragging two fingers down at the same time, but it's fiddly. Not sure if all can do that.

Whenever I tried this with mine, it always gets stuck in infinite scrolling mode until I tap again, so not overly reliable ingame hahaha.

Oh my goodness you and Spin just helped me find a feature on my computer that I never noticed.

Also, I feel like if Atelier801 makes a tutorial any time soon, it should also add an intro to the mechanics of the user interface and commands, but by the looks of the updates' themes, they're already working on spoofing up all of Transformice to be a little more convenient. Even if they do run into some trial and error.

An intro would be nice, I do agree. I invited a friend to play and I had to explain to them how to get to the shop and stuff. It was pretty clear cut before but now it's a bit confusing.

I never ever even knew my laptop had this feature, thanks! A bit wonky to use, but I guess that takes getting used to and with the settings I like.

What relation does this have to the topic at hand other than to make what I say sound null? Regardless of what I have to say about an update (good or bad) I still at least try to add a little reasoning to it rather than just going around saying "this update sux". Everyone's going to have a different perspective and opinion -- Just because I haven't said much good about the recent updates doesn't mean I'm here for the "sake of complaining"; A lot of us like to give feedback whether it be helpful or not.

The chat in the map editor is even worse than before now.
I don't like that I have to move my cursor over the whole screen to get to my friendlist or tribe window, I do however like that I can do it in one click without the menu in between now. I think a better solution would be a hotkey that opens the friendlist, just like "I" for the inventory.

I think the chat tabs are super ugly now, either way they should move to the right side of the chat as I suggested in this thread.

I also don't like that the little button blinks whenever you go up the chat, it's just a little bit annoying

I essentially said what I did as a way of saying I wasn't going to reply to your points because I couldn't be bothered to respond to someone who can't find any good in any update lately. Everyone has a right to post their opinions about updates here, whether positive or negative. He gave an opinion with reasoning behind it, not just a 'nah ur wrong this sux' type thing, so I can see it coming across as rude or dismissive to respond with something that's basically saying 'im not even giving this a response youre just being negative to be negative'

I like it. The buttons are cute.

Before I logged on I was worried that the arrows would be a bit inconvenient to use, but I think they're actually pretty good now that I've tried them. I'll need to get used to not clicking the menu when I want to go to my friends' list or tribe menu, but that shouldn't be too hard.

So all in all I think it's a nice update.

I don't know why, but I keep thinking the buttons would be something they would do for the mobile app, not the pc version. I do admit, though, they do come in handy (like when I need to scroll down to see the current messages).

Anywho, I agree 100% with the hotkeys suggestion, and I have some ideas about it, but I'll save it for another time. And yes, the "tabs" do look a bit unprofessional, so hopefully that can be modified in the near future.
