1. Major Category Changes for Difficulty 1 to 4 Maps
Many maps from Diffs 1 - 4 have been moved to Cat 2. The motivation behind this massive move is to balance the map count in both cats. Due to the way the coded formula decides on how often Cat 2 should load, this change would likely cause Cat 2s in this Diff range to appear much more frequently than before.

Therefore, maps that were moved to Cat2 may not necessarily be bad on their own. We decide if a map should be moved to the green Cat with a few factors in mind, but not limited to:
  • quality comparison with other maps
  • replay value
  • aesthetics

We will continue monitoring the effects of this change and make corrections where needed. If there are any changes that you think should be discussed and/or reversed, do reach out on our discord. Thanks for your patience!

2. Public Discord forum for Map Opinions
We're heartened by the overwhelming responses from the community we received in the public forum, for the maps of this review cycle. Your participation encourages higher quality discussions for the map submissions. Please keep them coming in!

@7799997 - A good, aesthetically pleasing introduction to acid. However, as pointed out by community review, the middle grounds in the dynamic acids should be made colourless to prevent overnails.

Zmiji#0000
@7912605 - Multiple atypical basing options, making the map fun to play with. However, the anti-force mechanism is way too aggressive and affects legitimate object spawns. Do find a way to stop the force without needing to stick a warning symbol.

@7916189 (@7917862, @7916883) - The following are individual opinions from each reviewer:
Vote 1 - Maybe - a dit :
A challenging map with a great running sequence and potential concept. However it's quite a buildathon against time given the extra long bridge and tough, narrow obstacle along the way. I feel like variation 3 @7917862 is slightly more manageable but still is too much of a rush within 150s. I personally liked the addition of the joint linked square of variation 2 @7916883 which helped prevent disasters while moving the build to focus on the main concept of the map. Due to the cheese being offscreen for the caged shaman, there is no hint on the position of the cheese for shamans using the standard window size. Cat 1 for me, with edits addressing issues.

Vote 2 - Maybe - a dit :
While monorails aren’t a new concept, the layout presented makes for an interesting Cat 1 map with the possibility of build variations. As defilante skulls and acid aims to achieve the same objective, it is personally preferable for the map author to stick to one of the two for a neater looking map. The bottom-most acid anticlouds are unnecessary as mice do already die if they fall, hence it only adds to the constricted feeling in the map.

Vote 3 - No - a dit :
The map is just building a long bridge and pushing it in a very tight space and limited time which is just unfun. Please improve the aesthetics as it's very hard to look at. Also, offscreen advantage because the shaman is caged and cannot scroll to see the full map.

Shetthat#0000
@7909461 - Good variety of basing options present with decent map aesthetics. However, it is easily force-able. Please fix this issue!

Nicks#0852
@7917899 - Please resolve the following issues:
  • It's impossible to guess the mass of the circle on the first attempt and by extension, the amount of support needed on the bridge.
  • The circle is anchorable (and thus glitchable), remove the colour property to prevent this.
  • This isn't as much of an issue but it would be better if the map required something more than a simple splint

Vote 1 - Maybe - a dit :
Interesting falling weight concept, however there are a few issues stated I'd like to see resolved.

Vote 2 - No - a dit :
Fun concept, but it can be completely avoided with a half bridge

Slipprs#0000
@7917706 - Gravity is too harsh as is, it feels so much better to work with at -8 at most. All the same building required, just not as annoying. Good simple base options and build path though. Bottom acid ground feels unnecessary.

@7916375 - This map cannot be given opportunist since the shaman is not located offscreen. Please add a hole and cheese inside the cage.

@7916386 → Difficulty 7 Category 1 - This map had some pretty divided votes with the reviewers, but given positive community support we are trialling the map with a temp perm.
Vote 1 - Yes - a dit :
Can't wait to see everyone die because they forgot to move their cannon off the despawned ground.

Vote 2 - Yes - a dit :
While this is yet another swing map for Divinity, it is one of the more interesting variations thus far. However, the build may become repetitive, especially since the resulting base would be largely similar. I would vote for this map to be in Cat2, however, this can be decided again after a trial period.

Vote 3 - No - a dit :
Divinity doesn't need more swing maps.

Vote 4 - No - a dit :
  • it's not easy to structurally secure the build from rotating clockwise around the pivot due to the shaman range
  • brutal consequence of many mice falling off and dying due to a lag and the length of the bridge
  • shaman has limited options to adjust the build in case of a slight measurement error, after swinging it over.

Please see this image for reference.
https://i.imgur.com/Hrl7oaU.png

The following issues therefore eliminate many potential solutions, leaving only a very routine go-to build. However I must say that the initial sequence to building the swing was rather interesting to execute. If the author could somehow resolve the issues listed, the map might earn my second thought.

Vote 5 - Yes - a dit :
I’d have a better time accepting it if we were able to fix the issue (vote 4) brought up but I think it’s still a unique spin on swing maps

Shetthat#0000
@7909167 → Difficulty 7 Category 2 - Good variety of basing options present and a fair bit of challenge required to balance the build. Map aesthetics takes on an amusing and unique theme which helps add some characteristics to the rotation.

@7359384 → Difficulty 7 Category 2 - This map will be accepted on a trial basis, as we’d like to observe how well it’ll be received in rotation.
Vote 1 - Yes - a dit :
Nice open building map with a lot of freedom.

Vote 2 - Maybe - a dit :
Base completes itself, so it's a hard focus on build-planning. I'm worried it might get stale, but there's a lot variety possible so I want to see how people handle it

Vote 3 - Maybe - a dit :
In the long run, I think this map does get boring due to the easy base. However, due to the variations of bridging possible, I see this map as more of a seasonal/temp perm - Rating trial to see how it goes.

Vote 4 - Maybe - a dit :
Map presents a challenge up the cheese but limits creativity with the base area. Cat 2.

@7904582 - The wind in this map doesn't serve a real purpose here aside from discouraging balloons as well as moving shamans further away from the hole when they stand still to spawn. Both of which are unnecessary side effects especially in the context of divine mode. The scroll doesn't serve a purpose here aside from allowing a gradual ramp to the hole – which means much of the vertical space has gone wasted. There are many more plank holds than necessary, a couple of which are placed in awkward positions where they never need to be used.

Zmiji#0000
@7916762 - Unclear concept with confusing ground properties. A regular build can be constructed using just one side of the map with no hindrance from the foreground rectangle. This leaves the rest of the map a dead space restricting possible builds. There's no obvious indicator to the shaman/mice that it's safe to drop down.

Xconvictedx#0000
@7914061 - Poorer execution of @6653578.

@7913651 - Despite efforts to improve the map, it still requires no building as mice can still solo zero gravity with minimal effort from the shaman. Nice attempt at mitigating this issue via the use of chocolate on the edges though.

@7913827 - The only practical solution working with gravity, water and time would be to splint from the shaman to the cheese, which would then be moved down to the hole with a motor or boxes. Due to latency, this would result in mass murder.

Nhokw#0095
@1193841 - Previously removed due to similar bridge building concept maps that exist. The reasons still stand as of now.

Bigerrol#0000
@7860167 - Resubmission per #597 with no visible edits made.

@7860170 - Resubmission per #957 with no visible edits made.

@7866357 - Cage alignment needs work and the map is half soloable by mice jumping from the top. It is easy to circumvent the lack of range here given the length of a plank.. Overall with just the two wooden grounds slapped over, the map is lacking in goal.

Nicks#0852
@7917837 - Enjoyable concept that's better suited for buildtool due to latency issues with dynamic cages.

@7917945 - Concept has potential, perhaps try using it in a different layout. Also, the objects shouldn't be hidden offscreen.

Yuelilex#4937
@7383682 - The following are individual opinions from each reviewer:
Vote 1 - No - a dit :
If the map concept was to use weights/balloons, then the map author should consider removing the grass ground that shaman spawns on to further encourage this concept. Otherwise, the map concept comes across as trivial building.

Vote 2 - No - a dit :
Generic in a difficulty that is overfilled. Seemingly arbitrary ground placement/alignment

Vote 3 - No - a dit :
Not really that interesting to work with.

Slipprs#0000
@7917767 - Buildathon. Scroll and acid spam feel excessive and make the map unnecessarily long and cramped. The only part that should be acid is where mice can walk on, except the bottom of the map which already has a death line.

@7916867 - An antigrav version of @6730731 does not add value to rotation.

@7916186 (@7916093) - Base and resupport option near the hole are fun to work with, but the pathing is not very interesting given mice can fall into the hole from a good distance.

Reporting Map: @7197453

Reason:
The map in rotation @7197453 is pretty hard to be in diff-5, and most of the players are agree with me. For example check the map @7072353, they have similliar style. While the map @7197453 is in diff-5, beginner players of diff-5 usually fails. It fits best to diff-6. I've reported this map almost 2 years ago but please consider this time.

Hi!

I'm really really sorry for posting this here but I dont know where to ask. I used to play divinity between 2019 and 2021 with Myuzete#0000. She is a good friend and a legend of divinity.
But... for a few months I needed to focus on my studies. When I came back, someone told me that she had covid-19. Her last login was a year ago.
Then, I'm really worried, she was my best friend.

Pls, if anyone knows anything about her, tell me!!!!

Maybe she's on another account. I don't want to think the worst.

Blackout a dit :

No one knows but all we can do for her is wishing her happiness honestly :)
