@7973032 - Rioxmaps#3702 - Interesting ideas but they weren't presented in the best way. Some obstacles (start, cheese gap, ending) are too precise and not enjoyable and some other obstacles, if not bypassed via an offscreen shortcut like in the end, are very generic. Also we would recommend indicating that ice grounds grant the slippery effect.
@7972742 - Capitan_pro#0000 - Good and interesting uses of the water overall but still need a lot of edits before being perm for the main reason that most of the obstacles are way too precise. The first water doesn't need to be that strong; 2nd obstacle is very cool, but the space between the wood and the chocolate when you have to jump after going down into the water is too small so it make it too precise; That kind of walljump on the top right is interesting but we wish there would be a platform under so we can recover even if we fall; The setup to crouch at the end before the water is too annoying, we would like to see some improvements there so it's not too annoying to crouch (or just another new obstacle instead if you can't fix). Because there is too many edits we add this map in the refused list but we believe it could be a good map for hardcamp if you improve it!
@7973346 - Capitan_pro#0000 - Although the layout and the design are pretty neat and intelligently designed, the map boils down to a large set of generic obstacles. The way the galaxy, the stickies and the honey effect are used is very clever, mostly on the right side of the map, sadly most of the map is not at the same level of cleverness. It gets repetitive and derivative with a set of obstacles that try to fill in the remaining space to make it last more.
@7973876 - Elk#0095 - Most obstacles are presented with unpleasant continuity and lack refinement, which makes the map frustrating and doesn't provide a lot of enjoyment. Some of them play awkwardly (cheese part) or introduce unnecessary difficulty (repetition of chocolate and ice walljumps, and usage of trampolines in the bottom right part which can be skipped).
@7915418 - Akiong#3458 - It plays well but doesn't offer anything new or interesting beyond basic water gameplay.
@7453149 - Akiong#3458 - The map has a lot of potential and contains fun with original obstacles, we can see improvements in your map compared to older ones so keep going! However, the top part appears unpolished (design and gameplay wise) as the interactions with the grounds and the treadmill feel odd, and the difficulty is very very unbalanced between an easy start and a unnecessarily precise ending chain. That chain at the end is so precise thats it's almost luck based to pass it which make it not suitable for HC.
@7957057 - Antoni0#8587 - There was improvements in the last version but you just cameback to the old one without using what we asked last time, so it still has the same problems than before. The top left obstacle's idea is really interesting but needs to be polished, it plays awkwardly especially after we gather a lot of speed from the green water, hitting the blue water requires that you're perfectly placed to hit it or that you maneuver around it to hit the lava, the pace is likely too heterogeneous; On the top right obstacle, it's not obvious that we need to hit the ceiling before hitting the lava, and however the trampolines are positioned doesn't make it particularly enjoyable to play; the runes gameplay afterward isn't too bad; The chocolate grip on the bottom right part is to be removed asap, otherwise the obstacle flows alright although the cheese position in that chain looks arbitrary and out of place.

@7974118 - Armani#5686 - Very good map and gameplay. Currently the top left part and bottom left sections are too cramped (https://imgur.com/a/7qweZQQ) which makes them slightly precise. It would be better if the player had more space to maneuver.

  • Too frustrating to play with all these acid precise obstacles. Almost all the obstacles are too precise (beginning, the boost+spring under the cheese, the obstacle after the cheese) and need some improvements. I believe it could be an interesting map cause the gameplay seems fun but please stop making it so precise. x2
  • Cool map ruined by tight gaps... Turnaround part is too funny to me regarding the concept of the entire map.

@7975573 by Akiong#3458
  • Very very confusing map and tedious obstacles. There are also a few shortcuts so you can skip up to 5 tokens in the map, no for me.
  • I liked everything before cheese but after that the map is a bit doomed (also, I don’t think this map works correctly since the first sticky gives you slip aswell, i I assume it should not be like that).

@7975744 by Akiong#3458
  • Better looking map than what we usually see from you, but still so many parts that don't feel tested at all. The bottom part seems fine, but the second you go on the top with the reversed lava everything becomes very precise and inconsistent. Going out of the cheese cage is awful, because you have to slow down a lot if you don't want to die. The first vertical lava is too small and work half of the time, the second doesn't work at all. The skull on the hole are useless and this part near the hole is annoying cause too precise.
  • Too many unexpected and fastpaced obstacles as per my playtest in the past, leaning more towards rejected.
  • Akiong, my guy, you have done it. You created a cool, enjoyable map.

    This map feels like a complete map. It starts nicely, it continues nicely, and it also ends nicely. I don't find any obstacles being annoying or too precise. Actually, on the contrary, I find it fun, varied and balanced, without any obstacles that create any sort of disproportionate spike in difficulty. Yeah, the first lava with 3 boosts can be a fast, but it's all about that timing which, fortunately enough, it always works as intended. You will need that same quick reaction after taking the ice effect and after the cheese, but these are just switches of pace which feel like a good addition.

    Visually, the map is simple but it works. Those 20px wide grounds are being put to good use.

    I could have been a lil more harsh with my comments until here, but i am glad to see Akiong get to this result with one of their maps. I could mention stuff like inconsistency of visual style with the color-matching of grounds, little misalignments, etc. But let's focus on the overall experience, thinking beyond the map's gameplay and visual style.

    So, with all of this said, it does feel like I am saying that everything is positive with the map, which would mean that the map is hardcamp-ready. However, I still think it does not feel like it would fit in hardcamp. It merges so many different ideas together, which in itself isn't bad but it pushes away the sensation of playing a well-rounded map that focuses on a few concepts in an elegant manner. When i think of the hardcamp rotation, i usually think of consistency and quality, and this map does get close to check these boxes but it doesn't quite get there. The quality box is almost fully checked but the consistency with the rest of the rotation feels off. P22, but it's very promising.

@7763462 by Bautipro#5357
  • Simple and cool map, but I hate the middle part with the two water, it's kinda hard to have the good speed from the left water so you barely never have the good angle in the big water in the middle to reach the cheese. The rest is fine but for now I will say no
  • Agree with above, middle part is too unbalanced in comparison to other parts of the map. The hole obstacle is a bit unclear (apparently, you have to grip water and jump into the tramp instead of bouncing off the sticky).
  • I don't really like anything about this map besides the visuals. It feels too stale/oldschool and it doesn't really add any gameplay components that empower it or create some sort of interesting mix of "yeah it's oldschool" and "but you haven't played this before".
    Anyway, besides that comment about it feeling old, it does play okay and you can do runs and I guess you can find some joy while completing it. Visual side is nice though. P22
  • The map plays well, and I agree with some parts being unbalanced, and while the middle one is hard to read, the top one is simply automatic and does not require any mechanical skills despite taking a third of the map. Also, the middle part contains a shortcut (the water part can be skipped). I'd consider edits, if there were less modifications to make than at least changing the top and middle parts, so for now, P22

@7969990 by Bautipro#5357
  • Safe D2, concept is interesting and the map is quite hard because of the timings. Although I think it would be more challenging if woods (near water gaps) had more restitution so you have to readjust yourself, I wouldn't mind seeing that, as for the obstacles I think its fine. Also, there's is a shortcut, you can turnaroud the wood next to the hole and get straight to the ending. Huge edits.
  • Even though he edited, I still think it's not good enough. There are so many ways to create "doors" and obstacles to avoid with acid but he literally used three times the same thing, it's very repetitive and sometimes it's even annoying (mostly the bottom cause the start is okay). The new third part he made feels kinda cheap and unintuitive. I'm gonna vote no and I recommend to keep the water obstacle for the first part and find something else for the rest. x2
  • I really enjoyed the map and the concept it presents. It plays nice but it is true that it can get a lil bit repetitive, even though I don't see it being detrimental to the experience, as it is trying to establish an obstacle motif which i personally find interesting. I also find that the 2nd and 3rd obstacles are better and more interesting (even if a little basic), and the 1st obstacle feels like such a simple part that kinda serves as an introduction to the idea of fitting in between the water with the ice effect on. D2
  • Agreed with the above, I think the map is actually enjoyable to play and even if the water gaps have been used thrice in this map, they are only meant as a transition from one obstacle to another, and these obstacles play differently; not to mention that the ice effect-water gap concept as used here hasn't been explored in such a way in other maps. Besides the third obstacle, the other two are not outstanding, but the map plays well enough for me to vote D1 (obstacles are not complicated, and are easily retriable, it's just a bit annoying to rewind when you failed).

@7975871 by Akiong#3458
  • I'm voting no. The beginning is probably the best part and i'd say it's okay to keep it but then there is a lot of obstacles that are too precise or not precise but too unintuitive and unforgiving: the little cage right after the beginning with the spring and the boost is a very cheap obstacle and not very fun, it feels very weird to hit that stone after; the red treadmill part is fine but sometimes we don't have any jump after getting the speed so we just die, can keep this obstacle but it need to be consistent; the obstacle right after with the purple treadmill is cheap and not really fun; everything after that is going way too fast, it's also precise on some obstacles and it's too deadly/unforgiving & the end is just bad
  • Same as above, I think there is some potential but it was missed by a huge margin, i also think that the right side of the map is quite cramped and sometimes it is very fast paced before you’re even able to react. P22

@2897117 by Katwyn#1614
  • I wouldn't enjoy playing it due to the amount of timed WJ you have to do (you got 3 obstacles that you have to wj with ice… that is a bit boring). On top of that, the rest of the map is very generic. x4
  • It's confusing, feels like an amalgamation of ideas that were put together just to see what comes out. The start is uninspired, the next part is stale, the cheese is uninspired as well. After cheese, the crossing-portals section feels like a good change of pace and it's also more interesting but it still feels unpolished and faulty. The ending is, again, uninspired. Design is non-existent. Some elements do try to create a visual motif and coherence but it's still all over the place. P22

@7974671 by Akiong#3458
  • The gameplay is too messy and unclear. Once you figure it out - it's quite generic. Refused
  • Some good ideas, but a little too confusing cause there are multiple paths, also the beginning with the two springs and the end are too precise and annoying.

@7735555 by Akiong#3458
  • The 45 degree honey grounds are useless except the ending, where you have to grip the ice, but even then it can be easily replaced with something else since it is not the main gimmick of the map. Nonetheless, the gameplay is too basic and boring, sometimes even random (the bright green ground is too unstable). The cheese obstacle was cool, but it should be polished more. Refused
  • The first green ground isn't working at all. It didn't work for me after trying 20 times by teleporting, the second green ground is so insanely precise it's almost impossible. The rest of the map is kinda boring.

@7957057 by Antoni0#8587
  • Even though the edits were done - they're still not enough. I have questions regarding random foreground grounds, the cheese part being too precise and unintentionally hard to pull off and most of all - the ending. I feel only the start here is good. Refused
  • I like this version more than the others, I don't think the obstacles are that bad and you can get used to it easily, only the bottom left is trash and uninteresting, I wouldn't mind adding this with a different bottom left obstacle, P22 for now.

Edits before being accepted
@7977451 by Akiong#3458 - Pretty cool map, only two things come to my mind that aren't very big deal but could improve the map: firstly, I think it's kinda sad that we can hit slowly the honey treadmill at the beginning without really hitting it and going down but I have no idea if it's possible to fix that or not. Secondly, I think the very last obstacle to reach the hole is trash and unnecessary, the hole could be on the spawn and it would be perfectly fine. D2 with edits.
@7977339 by Akiong#3458 - I like this map, it's fun and the obstacles are pretty cool, the only thing I would mention is that the last obstacle to go the hole from the left side is very unconsistent and I'd like to see some edits there, D1 or D2 with edits. x2
