Left as is: @7760602 - Suppon#1377 - While it's definitely a new layout that I hadn't really seen much of as of late, I don't believe that it's going to work in rotation for a few reasons. The background as well as the snowballs make it very hard to visibly see what's going on with the map. and as the prior review mentioned, the Shaman is likely to utilize a simple bridge and ramp build with nothing else to it. Nonetheless, putting this aside, if you would like to try and retain this map, I'd suggest the following; remove the background and all decorations so it's more visibly appealing to the eye and easier to work with. I'd space out the grounds near the bottom as to give the Shaman more space to work with (currently, the two vertical ice blocks and two horizontal woods are making the space more cramped to difficult to build on/around), and perhaps offer a few more crevices for the Shaman to attach their build to and make it more stable. @7775598 - Commandantso#0000 - You have really knocked this one out of the ball park, but there is still a few things that we should edit and discuss before this one has a chance at becoming a higher perm. Firstly, I'd remove the center vertical ice block and make the one closer to the cheese a bit shorter OR move it to the other side of the ground. What we're trying to establish by doing this is giving the Shaman more space to work with. Once you do these edits, resubmit this map and we'll follow up with some public tests. @7105051 - Kiry#6848 - I like the openness you have given the Shaman's in this map -- with this layout and the crevices you had supplied, the Shaman's have a chance to use different paths to build. This being said, a majority of these layouts only do consist of bridges and ramps. What I suggest if you're looking something above a P1 level map is to add a few obstacles -none too challenging- my recommendation would be to remove the top right ground that's horizontal as it is useless and serves no purpose, and with the new found space, add an obstacle that forces the Shaman's to think about their build instead of creating a generic bridge and ramp as aforementioned. @3583410 - Ifo#4275 - Unfortunately I believe this map will be remaining as P1 as it has nothing to offer gameplay wise. @4739827 - Koulouh#0010 - You have definitely taken word to challenge your Shaman with their builds, however I believe you can accomplish this in a much easier, less stressing way. I suggest removing a handful of the defilante death tokens (the ones around the cheese and hole) and and to create a crevice in the grounds for the Shaman's in divinity/hardmode so that their builds can retain somewhat stable during their builds. Once you do this, feel free to resubmit the map. @7772386 - B0wl#7075 - The concept is a decent one and offers good gameplay. It has the Shaman thinking about how to complete the map and go around it, therefore having them think creativity and past the standard bridge/ramp combo. However, my suggestion would be to remove a handful of the tokens and change the layout a little bit. @7773415 - Stovedove#0000 - With the maps current layout and concept, there isn't much here for a Shaman to do nor to be challenged by, even with the current use of the anticloud grounds. I advise that you must change the layout a bit, perhaps even add a few more anticloud grounds along the map so that it forces the Shaman to take a different route than your typical bridge that we would see with a layout like this. @6733400 - Apollopolo#0000 - Unfortunately with this layout, all the Shaman's will have to do is build a bridge and a ramp from the bottom. @7428134 - Wed#0000 - Can be completed without use of Shaman. @7727040 - Namelessh#0000 - Unfortunately I don't believe that this would be suited for rotation. @7778566 - Qzyiu#3250 - Unfortunately this map has nothing new to offer gameplay-wise nor anything to offer for the Shaman to be creative with their builds, as all it will take is a simple bridge and ramp. @7773999 - Banana#6176 - Not a P4 map. @4737009 - Jasseh#0000 - For P4, we are looking for something that challenges the Shaman to create something other than your standard bridge and ramp solution. Looking past this, the map still feels cramped for the Shaman and can frustrate/irritate them in that regard. My suggestion would be to space it out a bit further, or to remove the diagonal grounds you have created and mayhaps even try a different layout that truly engages with the Shaman. @7774077 - A_4K#3858 - While you have used all of the space given to you, which in on it's own is a nice thing to see, unfortunately it has just become more tedious for the Shaman. There isn't really anything that the Shaman is challenged by per se other than the cramped areas my suggestion would be to space out the grounds a little bit, raise the grounds inwhich the mice spawn. And potentially remove the boxes that cover their spawn as well. Feel free to resubmit this map after these edits and we'll see from there. @7712107 - Thekingwys#4005 - This map has nothing to really offer towards gameplay nor does it challenge the Shaman in any way as all that they would have to accomplish is a bridge/ramp type build. My suggestion to you would be to try a different layout with perhaps more grounds/obstacles for the Shaman to have to overcome. @7705600 - Refused#6163 - It is a fascinating idea to bring into P4 and does offer a more simplistic challenge for the Shaman's to overcome with the covers, there is still unfortunately some work to be done. I advise you to remove the cloud ground in the middle, or to perhaps make it smaller and less prominent. Also, it's been found that the upper right area above the mouse hole is moreorless useless and will not be used by the Shaman's. You could change this by moving the mouse hole, as well as the two grounds above it upwards a tad. @7774793 - Solderify#0000 - balloon the icecubes out of the map. Once you remove these borders, I would also suggest to utilize more of your space, as it can be very tight and cramped with how large the blocks are and make it more frustrating than not. @7774476 - Godmcb#6577 - The map is visually appealing and appears to be clean, however what we're trying to focus on for P4 is the gameplay the map itself provides. With the current layout and use of the large clouds, the gameplay stands to be generic and doesn't really challenge the Shaman in the ways we're looking for currently in rotation. If the Shaman's were to try and complete this map, it would result in being a lot of ramps/builds in a zig-zag type of manner with going back and forth and it doesn't truly indulge in any creativity and the like. Perhaps try a different layout, shrink the clouds a little bit and remove one-two grounds? @3167631 - Viniciusdara#4015 - AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH but also it kills afks. @7775199 - Figoi#0000 - Unfortunately this adds nothing to the gameplay nor does it challenge the Shaman's in the slightest, even with the use of the wind that you have added as that all is necessary is for the Shaman to create a massive bridge and two ramps for the map to be completed. @7700293 - Guisanper#0000 - While I tend to like seeing mechs used in P4 generally, I don't believe that in this current layout that it'd work out too well. All that the Shaman's would have to do is go around and zig-zag between all of the grounds to complete their builds and nothing else from the looks of it. I'd like for you to take this idea and perhaps implement it into a smaller map, without much scroll and change the layout of it so it isn't as tedious and actually challenges and forces the Shaman to be a bit more creative with their builds and try something different that they may have not of thought of before. @7749884 - Sazd#0148 - With the current layout of the map, I don't believe that this would be fit for rotation for a handful of reasons. With the ground that the Shaman spawns on, they should have a large enough platform to build on to keep their builds stable, especially if they are building in divine/hardmode. With them being so close to the mech, it's proven to be very difficult to keep their builds in tact. Also, with the aforementioned layout, it's proven to be quite cramped for the Shaman's to have to build around, especially around the mech that's vertical (near their spawn). Looking past this, it doesn't add anything really exciting nor engaging in gameplay as the Shaman's would really have to only build a bridge and ramp and avoid touching the mechs. @7776245 - Hackdesamba#0000 - This isn't what we're looking for in rotation as all it would require is a bridge/ramp type solution. Other than that, all of the builds the Shaman's would create with the current layout would be difficult near the cheese, as well as under it. @7222588 - Obsyt#0000 - Fine to stay as P1. @7701329 - Juliandcc#0000 - With the given layout, it forces the Shaman to take a single path given the use of the vertical grounds and clouds. I'd personally try a different layout that plays smoothly and has the Shaman try different builds rather than a combination of bridges and ramps. @4056984 - Frnnnnnnnnnn#3096 - With the given layout, it forces the Shaman to take a single path given the use of the vertical ground. I'd try out with an entirely different map and layout, I'm afraid. Before you do so, be sure to check out this thread. https://atelier801.com/topic?f=6&t=853018 @7778171 - Nickdavii#0000 - All that is necessary for a Shaman to do is build a box near the mosue spawn for them to jump down unto the trampolines you've hidden. Nonetheless, without these the map still wouldn't be considered for rotation as all it would take is a bridge and a single ramp to complete and doesn't challenge the Shaman nor does it engage in their creativity and resourcefulness. @7777240 - B_Ootcamp#8312 - While you had made a point to try and offer the Shaman a crevice to stabilize their build, with the current angle of the ground the Shaman spawns it, it's misaligned. This isn't too much of an issue, however, pressing past that, the map is very open - while this generally means that the Shaman can create solutions fot he maps in different ways and try different things rather than the generic bridge/ramp, it seems to be that that is all they'll be doing for this map DUE to that priormentioned openness what we can try to do here is make better use of the space given to us by placing more grounds/obstacles for the Shaman's to overcome. I'm looking for maps that forces the Shaman's to think before they begin their build on how they're going to execute their resourcefulness and creativity. TL;DR, I advise you to place more grounds, say moreso around the middle of the map and alter the layout. You can keep the use of the clouds, however I'd change it so that they're more prominent than not as they don't really interfere/challenge the Shaman at this current point in time. P1'ed: @7766307 - Xaxadoooooo#0000 - Will do fine as P1! @7763580 - Sekui#0000 - This map is quite visually appealing, especially with the minimal approach to decorations. I noticed you've added a few different paths for them to take, however it's more likely than not the Shaman will only take the bottom path when it comes to completing the map. P1 will do just fine for this map. Will be discussed: None Ignored: @7769093 - Bautipro#5357 - Posted more than 1 map (#11801, #11809) @7769502 - Bautipro#5357 - Posted more than 1 map (#11801, #11809) Remember guys, utilize this thread so you can know how to better your P4 maps/what we're looking for!
