Chapter 3

I woke up early this morning just to get on the computer. I took a glance at my clock, trying to figure the blurry-shaped numbers. “2:03am” I whispered slowly to myself. I tip-toed as quiet as a mouse to the unoccupied computer room, which then held the most sacred of all machines. As I turned the power button on, I thought a few seconds about what would I do on the computer anyways. Play Transformice? I doubted. I was already frightened if the same users who were there on the EN chat thread when I lied were still there. A feeling in my gut that they would continue to bug me about it lurked as I was thinking momentarily.
Finally, after waiting for a few minutes, the computer actually loaded Transformice without freezing. I glanced at the forum button, wondering if I should actually click it. The pang of guilt and worry still haunted me though, knowing that I could come face-to-face with destiny again. After all, I still had to pay the price I guess for lying in front of everyone.
After sneaking downstairs to grab a quick can of Gatorade, I finally built up courage in myself to go back in there and post once again in that EN chat thread. The thread seemed kinda dead though at 2 am, which I slightly enjoyed. At least those mice weren't there, hmmph! The down side of a dead thread, however, is that no one replies until you die of boredom. The only person who was actually even replying there came by the name “Cadence”. She was nice and acted just like me, spamming “XD” and “o.o” in every post. I liked her a little, although I never had the guts to ask if she'd be my friend. The chat was far too dead anyways, with a gap between thirty minutes to an hour each post.
As I was heading off to school, I noticed more and more forumers would come. I assumed it was normal though because of the following reasons: Many people actually share similar timezones with me, more people would probably reply before school at 2 am, and last but not least, many players have already left for school (which means a thread for few to chat only).
Our last minute conversation ended short and quick, with everyone urging me to leave once and for all. A few “thank god”s and “finally”s were shortly posted after I quit replying and officially left the EN chat thread for school. Before leaving, I took a look at some players that were also in 801. For some reason the room was empty except for me and one other player. It's name was “Sourbot” and would give me annoying replies shortly after I would reply to it. This is how many of our deeply “enthusiastic” conversations went,
“uh.. can you be my friend? o3o” I asked, trying to sound friendly.
“Invalid command. Type '/c Sourbot help' for a list of commands”
I would shortly reply after: “oh ya? well ur face is envalid!!”
“Invalid command. Type '/c Sourbot help' for a list of commands”
“...” I was speechless.
I realized basically no matter what I said, Sourbot would always reply “Invalid command. Type '/c Sourbot help' for a list of commands”. Seemed more exciting than trying to talk to some mice who won't speak to you, yet they are always in the same room.
Before leaving for school, another mouse entered the room. A legit mouse no bot no nothing. I looked dully at my friends list, which seemed quite empty at the moment. I quickly added that player, without he/she knowing. His/her name was Kat, which indeed was a nice sounding name to my ears. I wanted to talk with her, although my mom was pleading me to head off to school. Typing her name in, I quickly whispered,
“uhh hey xD, want 2 be my friend?”
It was far too late to check to see if she responded, so I shut the computer off and rushed downstairs to get ready for school.
