Anatomy: 5/7
Detail: 3/4
Neatness:4/5
Colors:1.5/4
Originality: 4/7
Impact: 4/7
Theme: 4/5

Explanation: The mice anatomy isn’t bad, but the cat’s snout looks funky. It is really long and almost crocodile-like. The brown mouse is just touching the spatula and doesn’t have it’s paw holding it. There is a considerable amount of detail in this picture, but no paws or texture. There are cracks in the wall and folds in the banner. These are all good detail but the cracks look really sudden and looks like it is just drawn in and not a crevice because there is no texture. The picnic blanket seems to be on a slanted floor. It’s not angled correctly if you were to place it in a room angled like the walls showed. The blanket is also awkwardly shaded since the squares are shaded as if they were an object placed on top of the blanket and not a pattern. Colors aren’t anything special, they are just very simple colours. Also, the shading using grey/white makes the colors more dull; a good effect for the concrete. I like the setting, it is very original for these themes, however I don’t understand why such a thing is happening there. Are they having a party? I really do like the addition of banners and the cat. That’s pretty original but other than that, it is not very creative, with a mouse normally barbecuing and a picnic blanket with some food. My first impact is that this was pretty well done. Nothing horrible stuck out to me except for the crocodile cat snout. But I do find it weird that the mice are oblivious to the cat. They don’t seem scared or anything. There isn’t much expression portrayed in this. I’d also wonder if there was a light source in a mouse hole... but I can’t really say anything about that. The theme is well portrayed and not confusing. You can clearly see that the mice are barbecuing and picnicking, but I do think that mice wouldn’t be partying if there was a cat at the door.

Alright, I’ll edit the drawing itself. I forgot about the cracks themselves, thats why I didnt color them :P Im gunna get back to business :D xD

E// Im just going to redraw it, draw over it and add other detail I didnt before :P

Anatomy: 4.5/7
Detail: 2.5/4
Neatness: 2.5/5
Colors:2.5/4
Originality: 5.5/7
Impact: 5/7
Theme: 3.5/5

Explanation: Right off the bat, the first thing I notice about the anatomy is that the mice have unnaturally short and boob-like arms...I would accept short arms (Powerpuff girls or such) but the way you drew them in the middle of the chest don’t look like arms or limbs. Some of the mices’ snouts are to the side. They are facing 3/4 forward but their snouts look like they’re facing the side. The balloon strings are also bent. If you have a weight on one end the string would be straight. There isn’t too much detail in here. The tree looks flat and not natural. Trees usually don’t bend at an awfully sharp angle. I do like the the leaf shading. You can tell there are layers, but they look pasted on. I also like the little details like the teacups, words and cheese holes. It’s strange how the mice are in front of all of the leaves when they’re sitting on them. There should be some leaves in front of them, like the pile of cheese. The piece is pretty neat, but there are some sloppier spots. such as the blanket and the tree. I am also confused by the picnic basket since I can’t clearly tell which way it’s facing. You should also pay more attention to your writing, because it is shaky. The colors are bright and vivid and catch my eye, but they aren’t overpowering and blinding with less saturated colors to balance them out. It is fairly original. You wouldn’t place the mice in the setting of a tree when you think about picnics and tea parties. Also I like how they’re not having a cliche “eating on a blanket” picnic. I think the first impact is that the mice are pretty cute and have a lot of fun and personality portrayed.

I Hardly draw trees for one, i didn't just want to make something a preschooler would make (puffy trees and such)
and thats..kinda the way i draw mice. with the snout out because i don't like the nose in the middle and i want to make the mice i draw as less-messy as possible.

By the way, i would also lvoe to contribute to the winners!

1. Full body +Shaded+Colored
2. Full body
3. Headshot

OK! I finished the re-draw c: And it’s WAY better! (IMO)

I put more color, colored in the cracks, made better shadows, and I worked on the cat a bit. I notice theyre not too long, so I added the cat’s head, a bit.

I also made the mice look scared, one crying, one cringing, and the other stiff in terror. I think this version is better because there’s more... “Vivid” color in it

Judging: Vivihi

Anatomy: 4/7
Detail: 1.5/4
Neatness:3.5/5
Colors:1.5/4
Originality: 3/7
Impact: 2/7
Theme: 4/5

Explanation: The mouse on the right has his snout facing the right when he faces the front, giving the face a lopsided look and his mouth is also tilted. His hair also is stuck on his head. The other mouse’s face is apparently facing the side, but her ears look like they're facing forward. It’s also weird how her mouth is right beneath one of her eyes and not in the center. Both have uneven arms. The basket doesn’t have an opening shown even though it should since the rest of the picture is on an angle. The clouds look a bit painted on and since there is a sun, there should be light reflected off of everything. Also, the sky is really plain. If you go outside, you’ll see that the sky gets lighter as it gets closer to the horizon. The clouds also look pasted on flat. All the details are in the center, and it is very cramped with little things while the sky and grass have little to no detail at all. The background is sloppy with no variations. No color variations, no texture, nothing. It is just a blob. Everything is very simple and plain. There is nothing out of the lines or anything that pops out that is unneat. The colors are just so typical, there is nothing special. It is mildly original since you incorporated the sayings, but it really just looks like a normal outdoors tea party. My first impression is that there is not much to the picture. The background is so plain that it doesn’t set or add to any mood. It’s just a picnic and a tea party together.

Explanation: The cat’s anatomy is a lot better, though the cat doesn’t seem to have a muzzle. The muzzle is too high up and there is no distinction, like a cat would have. The colors are way too bright for being in a hole. I can tell that there supposedly is a light source from the front/right, but when you look out the mouse hole, you see blackness, which doesn’t make any sense. The light seems to be coming from there but I can’t see the actual light... The background doesn’t really give that hellish feeling, but more of a boring and plain one. The perspective is still strange. The picnic blanket seems like it is “falling and sliding” off of nothing. There is also absolutely no shadows on the wall, even though you shaded everything else. The brown mouse holding the spatula is now actually making contact, but it just looks like the spatula is laying on their paw. There are folds on the blanket and banners but because they are just lines, I can’t really understand how they are creased. The colors are a bit too saturated and make the scene appear more upbeat. It’s quite misleading.

Advice - Fold some cloth and see how it looks. Or if you’re too lazy like the rest of this generation, google it.

Anatomy: 4.5/7
Detail: 2/4
Neatness: 4/5
Colors: 2.5/4
Originality: 6/7
Impact: 5/7
Theme:4/5

Explanation: The mouse has no nose at all. Their eyes are also as if they were viewed directly on, yet one of the ears is turned away. The mouses foot is not resting on the floor. If you try putting your foot like that, you’d get tired really easily, so it would be resting on the floor. The stones for the fire are just stock pictures copied. Also, they are glossy, and if you’ve ever seen coals, they don’t glisten under fire. They look marbly instead. The fire doesn’t appear to be glowing. It is strange how most of the picture show that a light source is coming from the upper right corner, but the octopus’s head shows it coming from the left instead. The fire would be the main light source here, and everything would be reflecting some kind of orangey glow. The blur on the trees in the background is good, though it is weird since the ground is apparently sand with nothing else on that little piece of grass. This piece is fairly neat, with completely smooth outlines. The clouds seem like they are hastily drawn. All of the colors are so basic, but I like the colors for the mouse; they are cute and fit well. I really appreciate the originality since it is still cooking, but a campfire cooking. Instead of a normal kitchen or barbeque, you thought of a “cooking on a stranded island”. The overall feel is actually pretty calming.

Those stones had a marble texture effect, they're not from stock pictures.

And yea, i noticed the missing mouse nose and the confusing colour on the octopus's head.

I am ready for the next round! ;D

I didn't bother, mainly because I forgot. I don't really have much time now because I have to finish all my requests by the end of today because I won't be back until the 16th.
I may have time...
Probably not though because I have to pack to go away today.

Well, I contacted most of the other people who did not finish (no response for Xxxrubyxxx), and they said they are too busy/dropping out. I think we'll end here if Satash and Smalltoes cannot draw by the 13th.

Very sorry about that! The exact time you get to finish was decided after you were confirmed to get more time, so I didn't actually message you about it. Would you just like to drop out or try to finish in 5/6 days? An unfinished work will still be accepted i you want to.
