Finally found this topic.. So I'm decent Divine user, but this damned map is like the hell itself for a Divine user. Any tips how to get saves without getting my build flying off at the speed of sound? p.s. It's a bomb map |

ujosiipi a dit : Yep, that was what I was going to suggest. Spider webs are great for that map, as said, you can put them on the place where they spawn. This is the only way I know to stop the bombs, I wish there was a way to block them using planks, boxes or any other item. |

Sonicherois a dit : On the contrary, if you can place a spring at exactly the right height for maximum reach (refer to Seeteegee's shaman skills guide) so that mice can jump up from below and then utilize the ESC glitch, you can allow the mice to get the cheese at their leisure. It's a method I use, and while I always have to cheese/heart a few padders and trolls, it is able to achieve a fairly high save ratio. |

These are a few maps I've done, I use the Physicist Skill tree and the Mechanician Skill Tree. For this one here, I ended up having to use a balloon to get up. so you might want to angle the right plank differently. These are all recent. With the new update as well, hope they help! |

jusu1290 a dit : Care to elaborate? If, by any chance, you were referring to the ESC glitch, yes, admins finally removed that. So for map 117, I now use Nature's Return to get rid of any bombs on the screen, then quickly spawn Webs at where the bombs fail. This only buys you time, unfortunately. Best bet is to use a spring instead of building. |

epicalmeow a dit : Personally, I would get rid of Phys to get both Wind and Mech. Phys is solely gimmicky and not an essential part of Divine Mode. Sadly, I've been seeing all too many players overusing the Long Planks and Tape. it destroys the essence of ingenuity and building. Another thing, Wind Master has Acrobat, allowing you to move while summoning. This is long regarded to be one of the most useful skills in the game as it puts you in an advantage when you are forced to maneuver while summoning (Ex: Shaman fights, building outside of your spawn range). However, Mech trumps Wind in regards to the fact it has Eagle's Eye, Demo Worker, and Architect. So get Mech. |

Gonna add to skill discussion: Overall, with divine mode, mechanician and spiritual guide are most helpful. I personally just like a decent chunk of physicist and wilding. my skills I'm level 81, for reference. Skills from each tree that are good and potentially helpful in divine in particular: - Revive/Cheese/Instant win (this goes without saying if you want saves.) - Acrobat - Honestly idk last time I used wm I was still like level 40 - Eagle eye - Fast summoning - Heavier anvils (can actually help a lot with divine.) - Demolition, changing transparency - Faster summon/smaller range (It evens out with eagle eye, and makes your spawning ridiculously fast! In divine you have to spawn a lot of items so the faster you can do it, the better) - Webs (Bomb maps. Can also help on antigrav like map 81) - Nature's Return/delete all (Trust me you want this.) - Renewal (i think? ? ? Can help if you run out of other things) - Triangles (give a weird hitbox that can be used advantageously) - No soulmate - Upward cannons (to help move around, can also help if you need to cn something at a weird angle) - Freeze (Gives you enough time to hopefully stop rushers from dying!) - Anti grav (last resort if you don't have enough time to finish building) - Grapling hooks (You can stay in midair with this, it's basically a teleporter with divine's range) - S planks (Again with weird hitbox: it's surprisingly helpful at times) Of course, like above said, phys and wilding are definitely a bit more gimmicky, but some skills are worth climbing the trees for. This is all up to preference, though, don't feel forced to use certain skills you don't like! |

I wrote a bit more on my opinion on the Skill Tree. I both agree and disagree with many of the points Vedae mentioned above. I don't really see the value in many of the Phys skills. Sure, Tape and Long Plank are great for making building easier, but that's it. Now, if you want to sham successfully but don't want to put in the effort of actually learning to build a decent, stable base, I'd say go for Phys. Another notable skill is the No Soulmate. I used to invest 6 points in Phys just for it. However, currently TFM is glitched so that shamans never get a soulmate anyways, and until they patch that, it's a waste of 6 points. As for remove nails, once you get more experienced in building, you would use it less and less. I always had 3 of Demolition Worker (Mech) and 2 of Architect (Mech) which in my experience have always been enough. If you are unnaturally prone to screw ups, the nail removal are a nice bonus and at a much lower tier. Otherwise, why clutter up your shaman item selection? You want to be able to pick and spawn items fast, not to search through a ridiculously long list. Everything else is not even worth mentioning. As for Wildling, Renewal is actually extremely useful. Paired with Reflex/Master Summoner, you can effectively save a lot of time while summoning, which allows you to build more and faster. (Now, I wouldn't recommend getting 5 Reflexes, a integral part of Divine Mode is the range. I have 5/5 Master Summoner, Eagle's Eye, and 1/5 Reflex. When Renewal is used, I won't be as fast as I could be, but it's enough to give me an edge in shaman battles and rushed builds). Another useful Wildling skill are webs. When spawned quickly, they make a better bomb shelter than boxes on those pesky vanilla maps. They also act as a great net to stop the mice from falling to their deaths. Spiritual Leader and Wind Master has been covered pretty extensively already, so I'll leave those alone. Lastly, the most important tree of Divine Mode (IMO) is Mech. I actually wouldn't recommend heavy anvils because they are much more prone to glitching and can remove several tricks from your toolkit. For example, a common way to build over water is to spawn a transparent balloon and then attach an anvil to it for it to hover in place. When you get extra heavy anvils, it disturbs the delicate balance. It should go without saying to also avoid fast balloons. Heavy cannons, on the other hand, pack more of a punch. In the event you ever need to kill a partner or mice (not recommended), it makes the job easier. Stable Runes should be pretty self explanatory. I mean, have you seen how much the regular runes shift? When you build exclusively with V-nails, it's going to do more damage than good. |

Such a helpful tutorial.... Thank you so much... Since i'm not that good in building, i depend on my skills so much... It may be boon for me in some maps and bane in some other... i'll be always in dilemma in maps in which i have to build so much... and with blue nails i'm an utter failure... and i'm level 67 only... so i don't have much points to get spring, angel and big plank at the same time... so i don't have big plank... in maps in which i have to build a lot i feel that big plank is essential for me... But there's no need of building at all in some art maps... So i'm confused... I don't know whether i have to redistribute my points and start with Physicist and remove the higher skills of either Spiritual Guide or Wind master... But those skills are essential to me also... But after reading this tutorial, i realized that big plank is not much essential and can build with normal plank... But normal plank is not helpful for me in some complicated builds... Maybe more training will make me better... |

#Divinity (the module) is extremely helpful if you want to learn how to properly build in divine. In it, you have no skills, so you are forced to learn how to build without reliance on extremely OP skills such as big plank and restorative. |

#Divinity is a good place for training... But it's still difficult for me to make a stable build in maps which have STRONG WIND... |

Set your difficulty lower in #divinity. !setdiff 1-3 is good while you build up your foundations and confidence. Wind maps usually don't occur in those ranges. |

What about The strong wind maps in normal rooms ? |
0 | ||
lunawind a dit : Adding on: difficulty 1 also mostly includes P4 maps (shaman maps) which is helpful for normal rooms! ash198 a dit : It depends on what kind of maps you're talking about: like @1400684 ? or @3036001 or @2574845 ? On wind maps, you have to simply take into account how strong the wind is, and you can possibly use it to your advantage. If you have to build upward ramps, build it in the same direction as the wind so it is easier for mice. Be careful, and you should be fine! |

ash198 a dit : I don't know how else to advise you, other then practice, practice, and practice! Load the maps in utility and use your ingenuity to find a solution. Practice in #divinity. Or just stick to vanilla where wind maps don't occur. Tip: If you load the #divinity module in your tribehouse (./module #divinity), you can play the maps without stats counting. So you can easily try some harder maps and expand your comfort zone without risk of damaging your ratio in that game. ~ EDIT: Another easy way to practice in utility rooms is to use the !map P4 command. It loads a random shaman map from the database. Alternatively, if you want an extra challenge, try a !map P32 for dual sham (although you may have to search a bit to avoid those for #fight).
