but really, this voting system is useless. just get some "special mods" to look over the cafe with a reporting system, and you're set.

I don't think that the admins expected a different outcome. Also, I doubt that you see a different behaviour in any other community. When you throw a unmoderated forum into the masses, you will always harvest negative content.

What I find more interesting that the admins actually saw need for another forum. As far as I can see this forum becomes more and more inactive as the time goes on. I don't think that another forum will help.

I think it should be able to be accessed off the old menu, as I really don't like these buttons and I personally would rather not see them. That's not always true. For instance, I know of this site called Dragon Cave- their forums are extremely polite and mature, and it's really quite rare to see someone act rude (or inappropriate). If they were to be given something similar to the cafe, I really don't think it would be as bad as what's happening in Transformice- and I'm sure there's other sites for which you could say the same.

I don't understand why you think that the Dragon Cave community would behave differently. As far as I can see they only have a forum where the members acts similiar to the ones in this forum.
