My friends told that its only for the people who own the toucan fur.

I got it when I bougth the fur, so yes you get it when you have the fur.

Well, since u dont have this fur you could have another one right? cause its going to have its own badge !!

Well im still not buying that fur even for a badge XD.

So is the Toucan Fur going to disappear with the other event items after the event or will it stay like most event released furs? If it does stay then will anytime someone buys it they get the badge or will the badge only grant if you buy the fur during the event?
