Yes. Giving other people gifts only result in titles

Don't hold me on this but yes I think in order to receive items you need to have someone else give gifts to you. When you give gifts to other players you get titles.

how many gifts are needed for each item.. is theere some guide out yet? and xan i believe that you can give gifts to yourself. oh is there a difference between gifts unwrapped yourself or gifts given by someone

ON THE XMAS MAP (in the op) you click the mouse you want to give presents to and you can get TITLES by giving presents. you can click on yourself to open your presents and get ITEMS.

Nah man, I've tested it and you can give gifts to yourself and still get items

I loved the 2010 event, it was the funnest one because TFM wasn't completely smoothed out. Everyone loved Jingle, and enjoyed getting free hats. I remember it fondly :)
