Question - will gifting to papaille give you other gifting titles as well as the papaille one?

I'm not sure if I understand correctly.. Do you need to have gathered a specific amount of presents BEFORE giving it to someone or unwrapping, and then you'll recieve specific items? Or is it how many gifts you've unwrapped in total (not all at once)?
