Hello, fellow mapmakers! All the maps up to this point were reviewed, but I only wanted to add comments to the ones that caught my attention in some way. If your map is missing below, make sure to read this thread to see what is lacking in your map's gameplay. Left as is: @7855629 - Poteerfotter#0000 - The shortcuts are too precise and somewhat luck based. Additionally, the rest of the map has an awkward flow, and players couldn't figure out how to use the ice ramp gap effectively and to be honest it seems randomly placed within the map. @7849626 - Poteerfotter#0000 - Gameplay-wise, the start seems promising, but the rest of the map has a poor flow and doesn't match the quality of the initial obstacle which is leaving the bottom part of the map. @7766677 - Jasseh#0000 - Gameplay-wise, going from the spawn to the right side of the map offers a somewhat enjoyable experience, but the rest of the map, especially the cheese route, is really frustrating for being too precise. @7765088 - Weien#6059 - Yes, the map does have a nice flow, but some parts are too precise for my opnion. For example, the attempt to get a boost after collect the cheese and go straight to the hole without using the trampoline wall jump is really luck based and frustrating if you fail it. @7934159 - Bautipro#5357 - So... the map layout is pretty peculiar weird, and the main mechanics in the map (lava circles) rely on being very luck based, resulting in a poor flow throughout the map. @7934532 - Zeus#6550 - You can easily skip the entire left part of the map without much effort, making it quite short and poorly utilizing the available space. @7935531 - Zeus#6550 - The map is too simplistic. Also, the use of wind seems unnecessary since it doesn't significantly impact the overall gameplay experience. @7391191 - Weien#6059 - Actually, the combination of wind and water surprisingly creates an interesting concept, and I was able to find some nice shortcuts throughout the map. However, the map is bland and somewhat uninteresting. @4411959 - Unknown#3300 - While players can complete the map in different ways and find some nice shortcuts, it remains somewhat repetitive and lacks any outstanding mechanics. @7909515 - Unknown#3300 - I know the start may appear generic, but I found it surprisingly neat and see some potential in the future. However, the rest of the gameplay feels quite slow, particularly the cheese part, which is very precise. I suggest you revamp that section and make it more challenging for players. @7934633 - Antoni0#8587 - I can see that you attempted to make the gameplay around the salmon treadmill, but overall, the gameplay feels bland. Additionally, the low restitution trampolines were poorly used in the map, as there aren't many vertical boosts throughout the map. @7869118 - Xaxadoooooo#0000 - The gameplay lacks any outstanding mechanics and feels too simplistic. Racing maps should be more elaborate and challenging for players. P1'ed: @7771771 - Jasseh#0000 - The map pace is pretty slow for racing and the lava parts are really luck based. But I found the map fun to play. It can be P1. Will be discussed: @7933044 - Xaxadoooooo#0000 - It was a nice use of the new water feature. Players could utilize it in various ways to obtain advantages and they discovered some fine shortcuts with it. @7747004 - Refused#0095 - At first sight, I thought players would get lost in understanding the map mechanics, but it didn't take long for them to notice how everything works. They quickly learned to use the ice ground angles to find shortcuts going up or down. @2135267 - Katwyn#1614 - I thought the first shortcut, where players can go through the top hole from spawn, would be quite hard to notice. However, many players were able to do it and get advantage on the map. The rest of the map has a nice flow, so let's see what others think about it. @7928474 - Katwyn#1614 - Yeah, I like this. There are some nice shortcuts and I'm sure I didn't find all of them. Let's see what the others think. Ignored: None |
