SUP racing noobs and pros! The latest maps are getting too complex for racing. When maps have too many steps or stages, they become really tiring for racing, making finishing them less fun. While many maps here have cool obstacles or concepts, let's try to come up with simpler maps for the next submissions. Left as is: @7621702 - Keo#9243 - The gameplay starts very slowly, despite some attempts to make it a little faster by adding some trampolines and lava grounds in the rest of the map, the pace remains awkward in a few places. Also, the top hole shortcut is totally ruined by the chocolate ground, which makes it very frustrating for the player who had to be very lucky to hit the corner jump properly before. @7618141 - Keo#9243 - The right side of the map is nice, however, the first shortcut which leads the player to the lower water in the middle of the map is too precise for my taste. The left side of the map has an awkward pace and it's pretty bland in comparison to the right side. @7937738 - Evereseqw#0000 - The gameplay is excessively simplistic and linear, centered around excessive walking, bouncing, and corner jumps to obtain some advantage. This approach contrasts with the current racing rotation. Also, the lack of obstacles makes the gameplay overall very bland. @7927312 - Pdf#5764 - In contrast, this map is very focused on vertical gameplay, requiring players to wall jump over the whole map in a repetitive and excessive way, which makes the map very tiring to complete. @7938135 - Ocelithe#2033 - In the context of a short gameplay map, the wall jump section significantly slows down the pace, which can lead to player frustration when trying to complete the map. Additionally, making mirrored maps is discouraged due to its inefficient use of map space and its tendency to limit the overall potential of the layout. @7938823 - Ocelithe#2033 - Please take the previous feedback into consideration for this map as well. Furthermore, the gameplay is based on bouncing off trampolines over and over again, and if a jump is missed, the pace slows down in a way that might make it impossible to reach the cheese on the first attempt. Also, this situation requires them to go back and forth in an attempt to gather more momentum to reach the cheese/hole, which makes it a bit tiring to complete the map. @7909515 - Unknown#3300 - At first sight, I found the map interesting. However, after playing it for a while, even in public rooms, I believe we should keep the racing simple. The beginning is not that bad, yes, but the rest of the map has shortcuts that are quite hidden. Players have to put in a lot of effort to benefit from them, especially after the player obtains the cheese. @7938063 - Unknown#3300 - The map layout appears somewhat odd for racing, as it combines different concepts that don't harmonize well, at least from a racing perspective. The map's flow isn't that bad, but the players have to put a lot of effort here to complete and fully understand the map, altought the presence of numerous treadmills and trampolines around it. @7938416 - Melissa#7967 - Both the map's layout and concept are simple and somewhat outdated for racing. I recommend you check the recent maps we've put in discussion in the most recent reviews to get a better understanding of the type of maps we're currently seeking for the rotation. @7938551 - Xaxadoooooo#0000 - Some parts of the map are a little confusing and the players might end up getting stuck, such as the bottom left part where the new water feature combined with the ice ground placed like that consistently pushes the players downward, creating a sort of prison that can be quite frustrating for them. Even with the potential amazing shortcuts in the map, I found the gameplay a bit repetitive and complex for racing. @7938591 - Xaxadoooooo#0000 - Although I really prefer this map in comparison to the previous map, you might consider its feedback for this one as well. Besides that, I believe the map has some potential, I like the synergy between the wind and the new water feature here. I recommend you study better this concept and make the map a little shorter in terms of gameplay. @7770736 - Omgjrn#0000 - I really appreciate your efforts to make simple maps with so much variety in gameplay. Unfortunately, I don't like how slow the pace gets to finish the map, it feels a bit odd in comparison with the rest of the gameplay. Please revamp the end of the gameplay, changing the hole placement might work as well. However, I found both the map layout and the pace confusing. At first when someone tests the map it might seem a little bit confusing since there is a lot of water but after the first run you are easily getting it, i've tested the map over 300 times and in 99% cases of having the perfect accuracy and precision, everything works perfect, there is no luck involved except on the CJ at the final shortcut in version 1. Both maps showcase the fun linear and vertical long shortcut that is based on touching all the trampolines at high speed and then followed by another hard shortcut, but different shortcut on each map. @7941063 - Version 1 @7941064 - Version 2 ( Honey - New Update) |
