Sydoline a dit :
In the past, we received several complaints saying you didn't want any more animal furs. So we're trying to create our own original furs with natural colors.

Maybe this one was too "detailed" for the game. We'll try to create more simple furs for the next ones. Keep explaining why you like or dislike this fur, that will help us to understand what you hope to see in our shop. But please, keep respectful and remember that some people tried their best and worked hard on it. :)

You want some feedback? Okay...

Problem here: players want to have more furs, you want to sell more furs - but those that look natural (i.e. colors and patterns that can actually be found in mice/rats) have pretty much all been added already; most of them have been available since furs first came out. And who's going to buy an expensive new skin that just has slightly different markings than the one the player has already?

So all we're getting now are unnatural-looking ones. Tiger skins or zebra stripes aren't natural for a mouse; moon + stars, obviously, aren't either.

Personally, I think it should have been set up in a different way from the beginning.

The way it is now, we have a bunch of non-customizable colors and skins, which severely limits the options for players to create an individual outfit while keeping it "natural" - the only way to add more diversity is to add new furs, but... see problem above.

I think a better approach would be to only have some fixed base colors (like the ones available in the "colors" category in the shop), and give the player the option to buy and add different kinds of markings in various colors, like belly patches, eye rings, and "pants" which change the color of the mouse's bottom half. This would open up lots of possibilities for customization, while still keeping it fairly natural.

Of course, from a business point of view the way it works now is likely more efficient in generating money, since many people will buy a new fur just because it's new. But it makes the game's design go downhill, as more and more ridiculous-looking skins are getting added.

Then there is the problem with clothes and customizations. I really can't look at the game without cringing unless I'm using /nue due to how hideous so many players' outfits are thanks to custom colors and lots of extremely bulky items that have been added over time (gas mask, fish hat, 4001 hat, just to name a few). I seriously think that all those items that the mouse gets buried under should never have been added to the shop. The same goes for very colorful things, like the pony hairs. And it might have been a good idea to limit the customizations to a fixed color palette without overly bright colors.

Finally, the solid color grounds. Those plain shapes just look totally out of place, considering how detailed the rest of the game's graphics is. And, like the customizations, they tend to suffer from over-coloring.

------

Just my thoughts about the game's design in general and furs in particular...

Anyway, the damage is already done. You couldn't really take anything back now; it would cause an outcry from people who bought furs and items and made art maps.

I'm perfectly ok with you guys creating new furs that arn't animals, but they can't be something like a zebra or... harry potter? they should be something that just looks nice and simple, simple furs = more outfits people can do with it that can go well with it, i've litterally only seen like 1 outfit with the new fur, and that's the fur itself.

Perhaps colours and furs similar to other rodents; not so much other animals. Hamsters come in all colours and patterns and you could also look at guinea pigs, chinchilas, et cetera.

I don't understand why people keep saying Harry Potter. It reminds me of Ramadan actually, then My Little Pony. If it was lightning bolt then I could see the reference.

That's not as true as it seems. I've already seen quite a few looks that go well with this fur as well as made my own. I don't think it's the fur that's causing the problem but more so the lack of creativity in the community as well as the lack of people wearing it around and messing with it.

As for simplier furs meaning more looks, the fox fur was one of those furs that were hard to make looks for at first, at least for me. Not to mention the cookie-dough (2nd row to the left in the fur tab) fur and the snow one, those too were trouble as well and you don't see them that often.

The fur just came out, I think it's just a matter of giving it a chance to shine like the rest of the furs have.

I think it'd actually be quite nice if the star and moon markings were removed. A plain black and gray version of the fluffy white mouse would have been lovely.

And I agree with this. There are some mouse varieties that don't have a version in game as well. (I think this would make a lovely fur, for example.) More colour combinations of the old furs would be nice too, and recolouring something that already exists would be a lot easier than coming up with something completely new.

I wouldn't really mind this, seems like what most people are complaining about anyways.

Furthermore, don't make innatural textures, a glowing green neon mouse wouldn't be considered!

I dont count "stars and a cresent moon" completly natural with this game. Its natural. But the object of the game is Your a mouse (an animal) who has to complete various obstacles to get the cheese and take it back to the hole. Not about stars or moons. Its common sense that natural is animal wise. and if it isnt. well it should be.

As someone mentioned I'd also love it if we could build onto the solid base colours of mice o: Like placing a white patch over an eye or colouring feet and hands and things.

In generally I'd like to see more solid colours too. The browns in all of the mice are really, really warm and orange toned. I'd have to have a greyer-taupey coloured mouse.

I don't mind the moon/stars pattern personally, my only pet peeve with it is that I'm definitely not fond of the club-shaped tails very much.
