Personally, I don't care for it.

It's all well for communities that have mods to check for inappropriate content, but what about communities that doesn't? Will mods from other communities be able to delete threads from the cafe of other communities?

It's because I rarely see posts that need to be moderated there in the first place. On TFM, it's a different story.

Even if you think that the DC community would behave that way, like I said, there most likely are communities out there that wouldn't.

Out of all the online communities I've been to I could safely say that I see TFM's community as one of the most hostile, and that's even with moderation.

Messy, awkward, hilarious, different. But you know what, it brings a fresh feeling to the game, the messy part kind of makes it very interesting.

Transformice has a competitive community so things often get heated rather quickly in-game. Over the forums however I think this is probably one of the best communities I've seen besides a few bad apples every now and then but that doesn't mean the rest are rotten.

Comparing Dragon Cave to Transformice isn't a very good comparison in my opinion just because I feel as if Transformice would have the bigger player base here. Obviously the more players you have/signing up each and everyday the more fast things move especially over these forums at times.

Sure there's usually a lot to moderate over these forums but honestly the people making the posts or threads are usually people that are new to these forums, confused/complaining, or have just been repeat offenders trying to troll people... Generally though I don't really see anyone that's been around for a while causing trouble besides a small group of people, but I won't point fingers.

The Cafe isn't a good representation of the forum community, just the community in-game.

Okay, what ever. I made a bad example, kill me. I'm not the best at comparison, my only point is that there are probably communities out there which wouldn't have handled this as bad as Transformice.

And did I ever say I was using the TFM forum as an example? No, I'm talking about the overall community.

The overall community involves the forums and I was pointing out that it's not really the people over the forums causing the trouble but the in-game portion that is. There's a huge difference between the two and if the Cafe was a forum update then I can near guarantee that it wouldn't have been as chaotic.

The community in-game has always been chaotic and it's the same way all over the internet for any community big or small but it's only showing for this community now because a large portion have too much freedom to broadcast bitter things instantly across the server with little to no moderation. I don't blame the moderators since they already have a heavy workload and the Cafe was unnecessary fodder to begin with.

The reason I said forum community by the way is because it seems as if Dragon Cave only has communication over the forums without third-party sources.

Yes, the overall community does involve the forums because even though they're less visible, there are people who are reckless in the game that use the forums too. I said overall because, yes, the in-game community is far worse, but even though the forum is well kept and a lot more calm, its community is still not perfect and I didn't want to make it seem like I saw it that way.

I know the community has always been chaotic, I've never implied otherwise.. I don't recall blaming the moderators, either? And I know why it's become chaotic, why do people assume I don't? This all started because I made a small and simple comment on how I felt a little bad for the admins. It did not need to be blown in to this huge discussion and now it's making me feel uncomfortable.

Why do people keep bringing Dragon Cave up? I only brought it up as an example because it was the first thing that came to mind, I wasn't trying to make a perfectly thought out comparison. Geez..

I don't really have much to say about the first part other then nothing's perfect and no one should expect things to be.

I never said you blamed the moderators, I just said I felt bad for them the way you did the admins. I also don't think anyone's assuming that you don't know the communities chaotic because we all do and I really don't know what you were expecting if you didn't want a discussion in the dicussions sub-forum. Let alone someone's usually always got something to say about everything so expecting to slip under the radar about something is a very slim chance as is.

I was bringing up Dragon Cave as an example too, since it was the thing I was given to use. I'm probably going to stop replying now as I don't want to see things get much worse from doing so.

This is going a bit off topic, so yeah stop now. The Café is moderated and moderators will delete inappropriate threads and comments. If someone posts something particularly offensive (not just random spammy junk) please contact a moderator and we'll deal with it.

I'd just like to end this by saying that, no, I don't expect anything to be perfect, that wasn't my point- and I just felt uncomfortable that my little remark had to get this kind of attention when most posts don't tend to. Let's drop this now.

The cafe seems a lot better now, I'm glad some measures have been taken. Thank you for making it a more pleasant place, moderators.

Personally, it reminds me of the old forums, the way it's setup, thanks for the memories! :'D
Basicly what reminds me of it is the fact when u click a thread the other threads are still in the left corner.

What are your thoughts about it? Do you think it should be developed more in a main flash forum?
Personally I think a single thread should be made where everyone can post because there's always a better forum to talk about different things.

Otherwise, I love the interface update \o/ Really happy that everything's organised now, and I hope there will be updates of this kind in the near future.
