| #parkour Map Reviews: July 2025 Posts #104 - 111 Reminder: Players are only allowed to submit a maximum of 3 maps per review period. Reminder: For maps in Almost There Category, players are no need to resubmit the map again. Players may contact Pk_mapper#6262 through inbox in forum, Vincentfarm#0000 through discord(Username: thecalendar) or other mappers when the required edits are made. And the map will be added directly after being checked with no further edits required. If you would like to suggest a map for removal, join the #parkour Discord server and send a message in the channel #remove-maps with the map @code, author, and the reason why you believe it should be removed. If you would like advice from Mappers, send a message in #map-advice with your map @code. Almost There (3) Ghibil#8171 - @7962151 - (Cp 5) Too long and difficult right now. Please move the cheese above the acid upwards by 20 pixels and place an ice ground underneath the acid at the end. You may refer to this image as an example. - (Cp 6) Please remove the acid at the top. - (Cp 7) The invisible water can be removed without affecting the intended effect by modifying the blue water's properties to: {Acceleration: 2, Maximum Speed: 0.7, (Cheese) Maximum Speed: -1}. Jinta#1642 - @7964090 - (Cp 6) Make the acid tunnel wider by like 6-8px. Relaxbir2#3456 - @7966144 - (Cp 6) the last cj is a bit harsh, change to a small ice diamond sliding up would be better. Also, move the ground lower so that players cannot reach the tramp above by jumping and force them to realize they need using the water above. Rejected (4) Antoni0#8587 - @7911976 - Overall, the map doesn't provide much inspiring gameplay and some are just aiming for precision. - The space organization is lacking and some cps are not comfortable for redoing (cp 4,6,8), namely cp6 which fails very easily and it cause frustration. - (Cp 1) The route is unclear, it's more logical to go forward instead of realizing the up cj. Also, there is shortcut. You may convert this idea to a real obstacle in the future. - (Cp 3) Should have an arrow for where you need to hit the tramp at the beginning to guide players more for realizing the route. - (Cp 4) It's too long and precise and inconsistent. The lava bounce requires specific force and players will be punish for getting too much speed from the lava and bump to the wood and slow down, which is not ideal. - (Cp 6) Too precise, the next checkpoint could be lowered. Also, you need to redo after failing the tramp bounce. It's unnecessarily annoying to do the water climb everytime. - (Cp 7) Feels random, showing lack of organization. - (Cp 8) Interesting concept, but the spawn is too far from the real start, and it's annoying for players to test bouncing the tramp and lava back and forth, with such precision required. Flash01#1465 - @7965468 - Overall, the map feels a bit too simple and generic with walking, lifting and straightforward bouncing cps (Cp1, 2, 3, 6, 7, 9, 10). Cp 4,5,8 are interesting enough. - (Cp 5) Tramp is too strong and quite hard to line up, unless you start falling from a lower position. - (Cp 8) The gap is too narrow for players to adjust their movement to hit the lava when going right. Also, the speed get from lava varies too much and you can get too much speed from it, which make it specific. Relaxbir2#3456 - @7966029 - Avoid strong trampolines leading into other trampolines or corners without making sure there is nothing that can work as a shortcut. - There are alternative ways but I don't think they're disrupting. Cps 5, 7, Cps 9, 10 - Most of the arrows are not that necessary and can remove them. - (cp 4) The lava corner is sticking out. - (cp 5) The obstacle could combine the bottom of Cp 11 instead of a plain cj. - (cp 8) You can't see the ice and water at the bottom, it makes the obstacle confusing. The arrow below cheese can't lead players to realize it much. A cloud ground is much better. - (cp 11) The trampoline corner is sticking out and creating sc. It's precise and hard on the other hand. - (cp 12) the cheese is not necessary. Relaxbir2#3456 - @7966143 - Overall the space organization is poor. The obstacles are too dispersed and all over the place, interconnected with wide bounces, creating multiple shortcuts and alternative ways. The arrow doesn't provide enough guidance. The gameplay are not appealing enough and it's more like busying traveling the whole map with random obstacles. - Avoid strong trampolines leading into other trampolines or corners without making sure there is nothing that can work as a shortcut. - (Cp 5) can cheese it with bouncing the first tramp from a higher place. The tramp has too high restitution. - (Cp 6) Random filler with just lifting up. - (cp 7) can cheese with cj up the choco with lava. |
