Record ghosts should be things where they show what your record is on a particular map in bootcamp.

So you could do /record [Nickname] then a ghost appears on the screen but only for you and you can try to beat their record.

The only problem with ghosts is that it could be tricky to implement in practice. But it could be possible. Basically, the client would record all of your actions, then send it to the server to verify and store your time. Then the server could create a bot mouse that would record all of your actions. I doubt this is going to get implemented. Also, there are additional complexities if there are ever objects that move, making this approach viable only for most bootcamp maps and some racing maps. I honestly think that there are more important concerns for transformice at the moment.
