Left as is: @7960918 - Rioxmaps#3702 - The modified gravity is interesting, but it doesn't impact the gameplay in any unique way due to obstacles being rather generic. I would suggest keeping the map simple and exploring a more unique approach to this mechanic. @7879319 - Zeus#6550 - Potential for discussion here. I like the shortcut, but the chocolate ground in the middle of the map feels out of place. The space could be used for a more dynamic obstacle that maintains a nice flow throughout. Edit and resubmit. @7961169 - Zeus#6550 - The map works well, but trampolines aren't really used in any unique way. Every possible path involves the same back and forth motion. The initial cheese obstacle is also quite awkward and feels disconnected from the rest of the map. @7944422 - Katwyn#1614 - For honey/slippery to be original and make the gameplay stand out in a racing map, it should require skill expression and enable shortcuts. In this case, both effects are unavoidable and essential to complete the map, not necessarily allowing for shortcuts or outplays. The map could be redesigned to work without the honey and it would play the same, like an average racing map. @7944430 - Katwyn#1614 - Rejected during a previous review due to the mechanism not working properly when the map is mirrored. I believe this is unfortunately not fixable. @7961557 - Dallas#9099 - Map works well, but there's nothing particularly interesting. Fine as P0. @7961643 - Dallas#9099 - Same as above. I would also advise against symmetry in racing maps as it's effectively wasting half of the gameplay. @7759096 - Dinahmiite#0000 - Works well, but lacks originality. I would recommend limiting chocolate grounds and walljumping as those lead to a poor flow and overall lack of enjoyment from completing the map. @7961021 - Dinahmiite#0000 - Same as above. It is also worth mentioning that repeating the same obstacle twice reduces the replay value of a map. Players will get bored even quicker if the gameplay is repetitive. @7960978 - Danielmago#5918 - The concept is interesting. I believe we permed a similar map a while ago, except it did not use chocolate grounds. This approach feels a little less fun to play due to water being so strong. It feels like you have less control and are more likely to hit chocolate. All grounds being more or less identical also leads to a very monotonous gameplay. @7962390 - Tennis#8153 - A lot of obstacles have to be repeated again and again, while not being very original. Every single one has been explored in older maps. @7962417 - Aziz#3924 - Plays well, but lacks originality. Most of the obstacles exist in many other maps. @7962767 - Canxcake#8618 - Some areas are poorly executed. It's easy to die unexpectedly, one of the reasons being all the grounds being so small. Try to use the empty space better and to rescale the map so it's more consistent. Aside from that, the obstacles could be more creative. @7962860 - Kaby#8294 - The gameplay isn't very intriguing. Aside from that, I find that lava grounds are everywhere and hard to avoid, leading to mass death. @7958898 - Wallem#3124 - While it works just fine, the map lacks shortcuts and alternative routes. Obstacles are also identical, so playing this map over and over will be very repetitive. @7963072 - Wallem#3124 - Same as above. @7963484 - Kyclet#0000 - Most obstacles involve the same use of trampoline, so the gameplay can feel repetitive. Other than that, there could be more shortcuts. Lastly, the bottom right trampoline is not strong enough to propel you through the water ground. @7963425 - Kyclet#0000 - Nothing out of the ordinary lava/trampoline we see in other maps. Additionally, some obstacles feel a bit automatic. @7444477 - Sladkoru#5992 - This map could be redesigned to not have any water grounds (every obstacle can be remade using lava). The gameplay is then similar to many other maps and not very outstanding. @7963822 - Sladkoru#5992 - The top right shortcut is nice, but aside from that the gameplay is rather slow. The bottom right feels very random and awkward. @7962998 - The_Avalanche#7048 - All obstacles are similar to many existing maps and do not offer anything new. Fine as P0. @7963179 - The_Avalanche#7048 - Same as above. Fine as P0. @7963398 - R_Y#8502 - The map is one singular path, offering no variety in terms of alternative paths/shortcuts. Aside from that, the modified water doesn't do much since it could be removed and the trampolines could be made stronger. Overall, the gameplay is average. @7948863 - R_Y#8502 - Same issue as your previous map. I would also suggest avoiding obstacles that only involved walljumping, as they're quire boring to complete. @7964314 - Relaxbir2#3456 - There are no significant shortcuts on the map, leading to a very repetitve gameplay. Aside from that, modified water is not used in a unique way here. Obstacles are quite simple and poorly connected, while the honey ground seems random and out of place. @7964313 - Relaxbir2#3456 - Same as above. Try to focus on one concept at a time and to use more advanced obstacles, as well as shortcuts. Stay away from filler obstacles that don't elevate the gameplay. @6082817 - Bellasauca#0000 - Quite automatic throughout, which limits skill expression. Trampolines are also used in a rather simple way here. Overall, the map is not up to current standards. P1'ed: @7771777 - Jasseh#0000 - Map works well and is enjoyable to play, but lacks in the originality sector. P1 will suffice. @7963111 - Urook#1131 - The fastest shortcut is pretty fun and satisfying, but the rest of the map feel very basic and slow. P1. @7938888 - Antoni0#8587 - I find that neither of the paths is particularly difficult, so the map might not feel very competitive to play on. A more challenging shortcut would be required for a potential discussion. P1 for now. @5552912 - Unknown#3300 - Map is well executed and feels smooth to play on, but all obstacles use the exact same type of lava ground. This principle of bouncing against chocolate has been explored a lot in older maps. Will be discussed: @7954628 - Rioxmaps#3702 - Despite the simplicity, landing the shortcuts is surprisingly fun. I'll give it a shot. @7509902 - Gamle#9340 - Simple but fun. This does feel more like a P7, but players with sufficient experience will know how to hit the tokens correctly for maximum efficiency. Failure to complete the map in one try will lead to a long and tedious gameplay however, so we'll have to get more opinions on this. @7777742 - Jasseh#0000 - Pretty average use of treadmills, but the shortcuts and flow are very nice. @7910961 - Tennis#8153 - Usually a map wouldn't be considered when the slower path is so tedious to complete, but shortcuts are fun and complex. This will likely be enjoyable for experienced players and a nightmare for newer players. Ignored: None Dernière modification le 1737689940000 |
