They can't be all that innocent if they run around shooting out cusses if you ask me. Most of the cursing etc comes from parents, music, and tv; Then it gets into the schools and just creates a massive snowball effect. I highly doubt there are many kids who "picked up" cussing from tfm.

Cursing is never "needed", only done out of emotion, in a situation like that. It's entirely possible to express yourself in any situation without using curses, and while i'm not one to speak, I know people who actually do just that.

Talking about under-age kids, look what I found on the Guideline and Rules thread by Sydoline:
"11. Don’t post links to anything pornographic, illegal or pirated.
Links or images of anything inappropriate is a serious offense; people of all ages browse these forums, so keep that in mind."

She had said "people of ALL AGES browse these forums." so I'm starting to wonder if TFM is for everyone and not only for 13+.

I really don't understand why vulgar language and swearing is such a big deal in the first place. Face the fact that kids are going to pick it up from somewhere, in most cases it's harmless (what is a bunch of kids going around shouting the odds going to do exactly?) so who really gives that much of a shit to 'protect' their kids from it? It's such a widespread thing so you're not going to keep them away from it unless you lock them away from society.

There's probably 9 year olds that are more mature than some 15 year olds. You can't put an age on maturity.

Fun fact: Did you know TFM's original target audience was the sixteen and over crowd? However, things had to change when more kids found the game (through Kongregate, et cetera). As for why it has to be thirteen and over, it's been explained,

This is pretty much why I stopped playing in normal rooms almost entirely, very rarely but occasionally going in and out now.

It would be nice if there was a room filled with players that you could actually have a decent conversation with and play Transformice regularly without having to witness an outbreak of fighting, perverted actions (this includes sharing pictures, which I've seen alot more of recently as well as some people doing it to get fraises), and the over all annoyance of everyone expecting too much of someone.

The community has always been a problem but wasn't as bad when the game wasn't as known as it is now, as said in previous posts. I kind of wish the game stayed under populated just for the reasoning that it was a lot better back then but even now seeing that normal rooms in EN1 can barely even reach 10, it wouldn't really change much.

I think it really is the game's atmosphere that really turns everyone against one another because people are greedy about stats and everyone just wants to look/be better then everyone else in the game. I'm sort of guilty of this because I can get a bit competitive over things, but I never lashed it out in public other then complaining about Stat-Padders.

I'm not really targeting the specific age group even though it <I>seems</I> as if they cause the most trouble. In my opinion the majority of the community has been in this situation before where they've caused chaos.

I'm not sure if I'm going off topic now or what, but overall things could be better and it's not easy to ignore and move on (as said above) nor create a living, active room with people you know like how it was back in the day.

I'm 13, (almost 14) but I'm very mature for my age, as that's the way I was brought up. I'm sick of the way some people my age act, not only on the internet, but in real life as well. I've seen how they act as though nothing matters but them, and how ungrateful and disrespectful towards adults they are. I'm not really against under-aged people on TFM, but I am against their immaturity. I mean, if they're not going to take things seriously, they should just keep their mouths shut. It makes me quite upset to be stereotyped into this group of people, though. Let me tell you, in this world there is a small group of teenagers that know right from wrong. They're just the minority though.
