Exactly this. How do they want to keep or gain players if they ruin significant parts of the game?

About Transformice's popularity... according to Alexa, it has dropped when the shaman skills were released (end of June), and hasn't recovered since (see below).

Maybe that's why the admins are so frantically trying to "improve" the game now? Too bad they always "fix" the wrong things (physics, name tags...), ignore the players' opinions, and thus make it even worse...

Although that does only take into account the website and not the standalones etc.

Its a shitty game with shitty (french) servers with spam from dumb little BRs and their statwhore buddies.

Im quiting/already quit the game. Though in its ealier days I/a lot of people had some great memories. But when a small little fun game becomes too popular, it becomes ruined with the constant spam of 10 year old pre-pubesant boys trying to impress their mates by getting 'good' stats at the expense and frustration of everyone else.

Transformice was an amazing game, but since the summmer of 2012 its become terrible. Terrible updates, players and the biggest failure is that of the admins (I know theyll delete this but muh free speech). They wont/refuse to listen to players. Putting power abusing french mods and their own little needs before 'customers' (yes we are as we do buy fraises) before us.

Anyway, this game will be dead in 2 years anyway. Its not like two fully grown adults who will probaby get married and have kids will work on some silly, but wonderful in the old days, mouse game.

Also, contrary to your opinion not all BRs are dumb. I am actually in a BR-based tribe and they are some of the nicest people I've ever met. Just because a large part of them spam doesn't mean they're all bad. Don't be xenophobic.

As for refusing to listen to players, sure there's been some things but there's been a lot of stuff they have taken advice on, such as suggestions. They wont accept suggestions from kids on how to run their business of course, but if a suggestion is good then they'll add it. Vertically scrolling maps, blacklist, group chats...

I do not know what you want, to help them or to just watch this game "burn".
Both are fine, But if you do not even care for this game, why are you worried for it?
Why do you want to change the game that you gave up on?
If you want to help, then do something. Do you think they understand where to go? They just explore the day like everyday. Aimlessly trying to help themselves and yet in this daze they are still consistantly getting "scolded".

I'm new :) I've only been here a week and I'm totally addicted to the game. I don't really know how to Sham well or wj too well, but I'm trying. :)

I don't really mind the updates, but I can see why people get angry when they can't access their tribes or friends lists. But the level up thing is a bit of a drastic change, it gives more advantage to the people on level 50 or the poeple who are super addicted, not to the ones who get on a weekly basis. It also gives more opprotunity to troll mice and just kill everyone easily...
The main problem is the friends list and stuff not working...

I think we'll lose members, but we're at no real loss, since many people join everyday. The admins work very hard on the updates for us and if people can't appreciate that, then as Meli said, "We won't miss you."
