Chapter 15
An unforgettable loss

Shard and Foxie were kissing for a long time, but Foxie broke apart by the echo of a hellish noise. She stood up and swivelled around to listen.
Foxie realised the severity of the situation, "Shard, you must leave, NOW!", at this, she readied herself to fight the upcoming chaos. Shard didn't want to leave.
She looked back at Shard and realised he wasn't going anywhere, "Fine, the least you can do is help me fight...", she turned back and felt the danger slowly approaching.
Without warning, Foxie leapt out of the way, Terbian had blasted through the roof of the building, "Let's end this, once and for all!", he shouted.
"With pleasure...", Foxie grinned. Terbian grew angry, he blasted purple fireballs at Foxie, but missing her every time, she proved too fast for him. He growled bitterly.
He floated down and attempted to punch Foxie, but to his surprise, she had caught his fist with ease, "Nice try", she muttered, before using her own fists to deal powerful punches.
Terbian stumbled, then stared at Shard, Shard caught his stare and turned away, embarrassed that he wasn't doing anything to help Foxie.
Terbian turned away from Shard to face Foxie, but she had disappeared, she was flying above him, making as little noise as she could.
He looked up and saw Foxie, but before she could move, Terbian had grabbed her leg and slammed her to the floor, at this time, Shard was furious.
Shard ran up to Terbian, seperated him from Foxie, then punched him, Terbian stood up, his face ridden with blood, "You little...", Terbian turned back at Foxie.
Foxie's eyes were narrowed, they were fixed on Terbian. He walked up to Foxie and grabbed her, he held her in such a position, she couldn't free herself.
She started biting Terbians paws, which made him drop her, she landed on the ground and picked herself back up. Terbian grew furious now, "Why don't you just DIE?!"
He opened bat wings from his back, Foxie's eyes widened, "Wow, looks like you grew a pair too...", she opened hers, to Terbians surprise.
Terbian shot off into the sky, followed by Foxie, he consistently shot purple fireballs at her, Foxie retaliated with her own pink beams that she shot out of her paws.
At last, they came to a stand-off, Terbian let out a huge beam of power, coloured purple. It headed straight for Foxie, but she let out a huge beam of her own power to hold back Terbian.
Shard watched above, biting his fingers nervously, he had no wings of his own and sank down, feeling helpless. Terbian and Foxie were powering through eachother.
Foxie was trying to hold Terbian back as much as possible, but she started to feel like she was running out of energy. She let her guard down and Terbians beam, hit Foxie.
She fell unconscious, Shard screamed, "FOXIE!!!", the rest of the group were walking underneath the building when Foxie smashed, still unconscious, into the ground.
They all screamed, Cherry ran up to Foxie, "S-She... she's dead!", she cried, checking her pulse and double checking it over and over. Luna and Cream looked up and saw Shard looking over the edge of the building. Tears were streaming down his face. Skylar and Abrielle hugged each other, crying for the loss of their friend. Luna, Cream and Cherry soon joined them.
At Foxie's funeral, it was quiet, no words were said, she was only buried. Shard stared at her gravestone, then walked away, his head low.
The grave glowed a slight haze of pink, but no one was ever there to see...
