Honestly, in EN cafe there haven't been any animal jam topics recently at all.

people post casual stuff to have fun. quizzes, simulators, quotes, trades, open new discussion, share stuff, etc. it's not as bad as you say it is.
of course there are some conflicts of annoying moments, but....that's the point of cafe, it shouldn't be perfectly flawless like forums but more casual.

The Cafe these days.. I made a topic about supporting me in the election, and yet all I got was hate. Those people in the cafe was calling me immature when they themselves are dumb. The En2 cafe deserves to get remove. Or at least the people there.
