But I agree that it doesn't quite work.

New plan:
The 1st and 3rd group today are going to get the same maps, I will log the times of each player and the order in which they got into the hole. The top 2 of the first and the top1 of the last will get through. Then the "wildcard game" as mentioned by betel will happen virtually between positions 3,4,5 of the first group and 2,3 of the third. This should be the fairest way to arrange it.

Betelgueze, Skullehtor, Mezarbekcisi, Xorcist, Rpownz, Franquin, Prr, Mcsguigf, Gohoq, Bleees, Ochey, Cloude, Eduardomol, Bootytrap, Aidanrm, and Garyarcanine.

You'll all receive messages shortly (tomorrow) to try to arrange some times for semi finals in the next week and a bit.

Thank you for playing to everyone who joined in, it has really been a lot of fun for me so far! I'm not entirely convinced that Garyarcanine going through instead of Snorrro was the better option. Granted this is a situation where there is no right or wrong, but frankly I don't think the larger group and virtual playoff reasoning provides enough of a basis on why Gary advances and Snorrro gets left out. As said before, I'd prefer a wild card/sudden death match between the two to determine who goes through but of course timezones...
If anything can't be worked out, it would be nice to see Snorrro as a reserve for the semi-finals if possible.

gggg, glhf in the rest of the tournament! Just to iterate on how close it was, bleees beat me for a 2nd time on a map by 0.01s. Had it been the other way around, we would've been tied on 40 points. :D

I seem to have a knack at choking in semi-finals, but at least my predictions are still better than Betel's. Tenfold.

Cloude, Mezarbekcisi and Eduardomol tied for first place with a beautiful 43 points.
Bleees had the answer to life, the universe and everything with 42 points.

Tomorrow's games will be played in the same fashion, all 8 players will be playing against one another, with all the times being logged and more exciting spreadsheet action at the end!

I propose that the final will be on Sunday 16th (or 23rd) November at 19:30 GMT, try to keep this time free. (I know 11:30am is a bit early for those of you on Pacific time, but much past 10PM is too late for those in TR, so this should be a fair balance)

It would obviously be nice to have everyone together for the final, we currently have people between GMT-3 and GMT+2, but there is possibility to have an 11 hour spread depending on who goes through tomorrow's games.

For those of you playing tomorrow, I will message you over the next few hours (depending on when you are playing) which maps you will be playing.
