Sorry no pictures. How can I change the title? Is there a forum code for italics? Our mice all have masters. Us. But this is the story of a mouse without a master, a malfunctioning of the game. Unlike others like him, he was not a bot, but capable of free-thinking. Please give critiques about the story. Be honest, and don't bug me about things like quotes (explained later) or indenting. Or spelling mistakes that don't matter much. You can ask to be put in the story, just ask and I'll try to fit you in somewhere. Part One: And there he was, stuck in a little box with grass in it. Nearby, he could see some yellow block of something. He remembered that it was called cheese and that he like to eat it. He liked to eat it because he was a mouse. He quickly ran to the cheese, barely noting the large mouse above him who was explaining what do do. I don't need explanations he thought. However, when he got to the cheese, he thought that he'd better listen to the bigger mouse. After all, that mouse could beat him up if he didn't listen. And so he looked up and this is what he saw: Well done! Now, bring back your cheese to the mousehole! Huh, he thought, having read that, he just noticed the hole in the other direction. He saw other mice, but they were fake, non-living pixels for decoration. He snorted in disbelief. What kind of world was this? But he did what the big mouse told him to. Congratulations! You just earned a cheese! Be prepared to play with many other players! I guess this big mouse isn't so bad after all, he thought, he did give me some food. But now the cheese was gone. He was dissapointed. What a big liar that mouse turned out to be. What was worse, he seemed to be in a room with other mice. He had never met a mouse other than himself in the seventeen seconds of his life. So it was a bit overwhelming, seeing all the other mice in there with him. This box was a bit different from the one before, though. It had something clear in it. Water... He remembered he was deathly afraid of water. For some reason... But then, a mouse with strange markings ran to the front and began creating platforms out of air. He thought that was cool. The platforms extended out over the water, and they looked stable, so he began running towards the cheese. He got to the hole, and somehow knew that he was number 17, the last person to enter the hole. This was all strange and confusing to him. Then he blanked out. Did I die? he wondered. But no, if he squinted he could just make out some numbers in the far distance ...2...1. And then he was back in another box. |
