[ROOM] Remove P0 from Normal Rotation |

The idea is to completely remove p0 (Normal rotation) from the normal rotation. This would only leave the P1 and the p#'s. It used to not be possible because there were only a few p1 maps. But now there are 30.000 p1 maps. With enough variety. Good things: - Better/more fun rotation with no horrible maps. (Due to the lack of average quality in the p0 category. I did a short check up on CFM about 90% was delete worthy) - Better maps but that don't have too much replay value have a higher chance of loading. - It would give more controle/structure over the rotation. Bad things: - Newly made maps don't play in the rotation. - New mice probably won't understand how to get maps into the rotation. - Mapcrew probably gets bothered more about p1'ing maps. But what if player wants his map in the rotation? If it is bad it gets voted away, if it is good it would get a perm. And still be in the rotation. What is the difference? Mice don't get to play it if its bad. |

I doubt this would happen, even though the sound of having no noob maps in the rotaion sound good. |

I can't just say if I'd like this or not. You can't tell without looking at it from both sides, and we've only seen the cons of having it ignorant of the pros of having it (people naturally overlook the benefits of something). At first thought you think: user maps suck, they lose me saves, they're luck-based, and the game would just be nothing but fun without them! Then when it happens, you might think: these P1s suck, this feels monotonous, there's nothing really interesting going on anymore, I miss the unexpected crazy P0 maps that mixed things up like no perm ever could. Hunting for hidden cheese, climbing through a messy jungle, even completing bootcamps exported as P0. Think about it. There are pros to go with those cons. |

No this is terrible, as good as it sounds There are some fascinating P0's that won't get to see the light of day with this, and not everyone knows that they have to submit their maps in the forums in order to get perm And then people are going to complain that certain P1's are shitty and want to be able to vote on those too, thus turning P1 category into P0 lol |

Does this mean every map would be exported as a tribehouse? |

After seeing maps with windows spammed across the background, i have no choice but to support this. |

Dunald a dit : Why? |

Admshumaker a dit : Because several reasons stated in OP. Such as having less horrible maps in rotation. |

There are worse maps permed. |

I kind of agree with Fxie, but I'll throw my 2 cents in anyways. I think it would be great to have P1's replace the P0 rotation but the way I see it, it's somewhat how Fxie put it. If you remove P0 you don't really get that unexpected map that could either give you free saves or completely ruin everything (And sometimes crash you !). I think one of the pro's of having P0 is the fact that even though they're not the best maps, they still bring a little variety and challenge. Sometimes you'll get a map that'll test your skills to see if you can pass the unalined obsticals, make you wonder what's collidable or not, if that wood ground is really wood, or planning ahead to figure out what possible spots the hidden cheese/hole could be and the fastest way to get there to get first. Of course everything I stated is a pro, but also a con, it just depends on how you look at it. An only P1 rotation would have good maps, yes, but in the end you're just going to end up playing the same generic gameplay over and over in each map. I'm pretty sure most of those P1's are either walljump over art or shaman this and that. I honestly think there should just be a certain official room (I.e /room perm1 2 3 etc.) that people can get away from P0's without it having to be vanilla. We used to have a bot runned room that only played P1's as well but all I can remember is that it was taken down because of the lack of people actually visiting there. I think that's all I have to say for now, I can't really think of anything else I should cover.. Edit: Fxie a dit : This is a good example of how known it is, I didn't know that till now :p |

I really wouldn't want to have to deal with all the people wanting their maps permed, it's pretty bad already and that's with almost no incentive to get them permed. Also i don't really see the point, i'm not entirely sure of the current rotation but doesn't p0 only play like once every five maps? Really doesn't seem worth the effort it would involve to me. |

Awkward idea... But it seems OK for me :) but we have to test the P0 maps to see if they are good enough can't we? |

If no one ever perm'd maps, we'd run out, not that they don't, but the rotation can often base itself around p0, no matter how shitty |

To be honest, what I think is that im tired of the same P4-P9 maps being played time after time. removing the P1 from rotation would make P4-P9 maps being played so much that you get tired of them. |

/support so much Fxie a dit : but you can't play p1 maps here |

It used to be exclusively P1 to my knowledge... hm. I wonder what happened to the P1 room. To be honest though, P1 is barely different from P0. |

Fxie a dit : Except it lacks the lixo ground spamming, the lixo spam of shaman items, lixo insta-saves, mega-fugly art, etc. |
