This is my first suggestion thread, so if I’m missing any details, feel free to ask or build upon my ideas. :D I think it would be great if we had the option to enable or disable tribe invites, and the ability to enable or disable friend requests. I also thought that it would be great if we could change the email used to validate our accounts. Of course, these buttons will have to be placed somewhere, so I suggest replacing the “Change your password” button to “Options”. Once you click “options”, a little screen should pop up, like so: As you can see, there is now a button to change your email as well as other new options for the players. Someone suggested the ability to change the email before I could, so I’ll add the link to the topic: Topic-125438 However, I envision the changing email process to be similar to the changing password process. A code will be sent to your current email, and you’ll have to retrieve the code and paste it in-game in order to set a new email to your account. So you're going to have to know your previous email if you want to change it, unlike what is suggested in the topic I linked. Anomunus' suggestion to a suggestion (it's suggestionception): We should be increase the security of an account by adding a security question when changing emails. c: (The question could possibly be emailed to your account, and you must answer it to get the "email change" code?) The default settings for this will be disabled for friend requests, and enabled for tribe invites. If you happen to “enable” friend notifications, this window will pop up once someone has friended you: Just like a tribe invite~ Here, you’re given a very obvious notification, as well as the option to click “yes” or “no” very quickly. If you happen to select “chat only” for friend notifications, something similar should happen: You will be given a mild notification that someone has friended you and as a plus, gameplay is not disrupted. So Tigrounette happens to friend you, you’ll get a notification similar to this. C: In this image, you can also see what happens when someone else chooses to disable tribe invites. Normally, when sending an invite to a tribe-less player, a message on your chat will appear to notify you that your invitation has been sent. However, if the person is tribe-less and has disabled tribe invites a message such as “Tigrounette has disabled tribe invites.” will appear. Why have friend notifications? - It’s hard to make friends when you start the game; this way you’ll know who wants to be your friend really easily. - For more experienced players, it’s cool to know who’s adding you without you knowing. ;D - You also have the option to return to things as they were by clicking “disable” once again, so the notifications shouldn’t turn into spam. Why disable tribe invites? - It’s annoying to have someone try to recruit you while you’re playing. Gameplay is affected by this notification, so it’s nice to have the ability to disable it. Why should we have the ability to change our email? - I want to change the email I used to validate my account to my “gaming email” instead. ^^; (My own reason) - Once you’ve played for a long time, you may be using a new email now and it’s easier to keep track of your emails if you update it. - If your old email has been hacked, it would be easier to increase the security in your Transformice account Suggestions to a suggestion: Kredos a dit : Supporters (AKA Hamyu's list of her favorite people): Adderly Angelabanana Anomunus Awesomeacey Bethdacat Bluepalkia Boygawgaw Cinderclaws Clonesparkle Definitions Eatkids Echowish Elvismousee Enemymule Estefix Everloved Fatsexybeast Gameplaygeek Fluttarshy Hamusta Hamyu Jiamingshi Jjaakkee Kingfawas Kingspyy Kredos Magicallina Midnightecho Mousechris (qt) Mproer Mtsloud Rainbowjay Suikodenii Supereemory Takumisyn Tenrecidae Thefourthone Todorovski Tomboyyy Vegantutor Vvarriorw Willinator Wolfhana Yoshinator Zeraxreborn |

Very well thought out ^^ Definite Support. I like the idea of having the friend invites shown in chat and not at all. Same with tribes. The only thing i would change is when the friend request comes up, tfm wont be able to tell if your a girl or a guy, where you said "her" and i think people would be annoyed with the default being her like when it says catch her and stuff. Just change it to their c: |

100% support, had been intending on making this thread but didn't have time The one thing about e-mail change: they don't allow that to be done without having contacted an admin first because it could be used against you if your account gets stolen, they can then just change the e-mail to their own and then they have total control of your account. There has to be some other system here for that too. Preferably security question or phone number as I suggested previously... |

Anomunus a dit : I was thinking of that, but since with my idea you will need to know the password for your email account to change the email account validated to your account. As things are now, if someone already knew your current email account's password, they would be able to change the password on your account, and can claim it to be "theirs". (Not really since moderators can just check the IP address, I know. But that would still prevent the original account owner from access into his/her own account) Of course, if my email idea were to be implemented, what you said is possible, but it would still be within an administrator's power to change the email back to what it was before, on the off chance you get hacked. The difference with this idea is that the admins get a significantly less amount of work for email changes that don't involve hackers. With this, the admins can focus on issues that are unfair to other players, rather than having to deal with players like me who just want to change emails for convinence. The security question is a great idea, though! ^^ Thanks for supporting my idea guys~ c': |
