One day I was trying to link someone to a TFM FORUM thread with the url tags. So I was on a thread and I posted the link in url tags. I got this weirdo thing. Try it below if you don't believe me! Anyway, I tried to fix it, but to no avail you see, on this forum when you post a link to a thread it comes up like this: (Topic-62400). So when you place it in the url tags it changes to this: Topic-62400 which isn't needed because it isn't a valid link. This really messes up your post. Even worse, when it goes wrong and you post another non tfm forum clicky link in the same post, your whole post goes blank! To prove it, type in this:

If I were to type it my post, it would be all screwed up. If you aren't bothered to type in the TFM link then substitute it with another tfm link, like my one which is above. Below, I'll show you what happens when you type it in. Also this is really hard to explain. try the thing above in the thread and you'll understand.

SENTS DONT MERGE BROKEN POSTS AND NORMAL POSTS EVEN IF IT IS A DOUBLE POST. YOU'LL START BREAKING POSTS.

If its a URL to something in the forum it has the topic number, for instance, this is Topic 126956, so when you copy the link under the title of the thread, it automatically changes to Topic-126956 , but when you give a URL to something outside of the forum, for instance http://cheese.formice.com/ you would type CLICKKKYYYY! Its not really a bug, just something that Tig though would be easier!

Supereemory a dit :

Pls, if you use url tag to link tfm threads and url post to another website then the post gets screwed and it turns blank. I know that Tig made tfm links like that. I typed up a long post somewhere and it broke. So I put in a shorter one, pls I was disappointed. Look below.

Conclusion: Forum addresses change to links when placed in url tags when url tags haven't taken affect. Makes post blank when another link is put in the same post

URL tags simply don't work with forum links, Supereemory. They can also break the post as Sali has shown. The use of http doesn't really change anything.

If I did then my post would've broke! That's exactly why I told other people to try here because I can't do it in the OP!
