Hello everyone, In this topic I would like to show some of my concerns regarding this game. I will report three points where the lack of commitment of the developers and administrators of this game is turning small problems into impasses. The first point, perhaps most importantly, is about bugs and glitches. The game has many bugs that have been reported several times and they have lasted over 2 years. It is a truly depressing situation, we always face the same errors, such as bombs which belong to a previous map appears on the next map and preclude shamans to make their constructions, or when two shamans on cooperative mode build at the same time, everything that was constructed goes crazy. The second point is the lack of new content for the game, it makes the gameplay very tedious and tiring, and this is reflected even in the events that are almost solely responsible for changes in the game, events are always very similar and repetitive. And unfortunately, when we have a good event, like Halloween 2011, it is not maintained. Thirdly, we have the bad situation of the Brazilian server, this one has the largest number of players and is the poorest of all. This server has a high number of players who cheat using illegal software and this server is also the one that moderation is completely absent. Adding this to the bugs and lack of new content, the impunity we see on this server takes the situation to a desperate level. I hope this topic can generate positive changes for this game that we love so much. Yours sincerely, Eohx |

I hope you realize that the admins are always trying their hardest to try to either implement updates/resets that will fix bugs and glitches, and also to even find out how to fix them. They're not slouching off with this, they're trying their hardest to fix these things. As for the lack of content thing, it's not like they can snap their fingers and *BOOM* new content is in the game. New content takes a lot of planning, and then Meli designs art for it if it requires art, and then Tigrounette patiently and carefully codes the update in. They actually come out with great new content. Anyway, it takes a very long time of planning, work, artwork, and coding to put events like the spectacular Christmas event this year together. About hackers, they are very well aware of it. Tig and the other coders are always working on anti-cheat devices and updates that will hopefully thwart them hackers. It's a non-stop battle with hackers, and they work tirelessly to fight off as much as they can. I hope this reply can generate positive feelings towards the admins now that you know what is going on. |

I saw this thread title. I thought "Ooh, this seems like a smart, honest person who will actually tell us what they love about Transformice and how well the game is made." But noooo, it's just another person out to complain about Transformice. You know how hard those admins work? They don't just sit in their office making this harder for us. They are TRYING to satisfy thousands of people. There are only like ten admins, and they work and work just to make this game fun for everyone. You see how many people are online right now? I have no idea about when you're reading this, but right now it's 8,377. And that's not even CLOSE to rush hour. AND, that's only how many people are on right NOW. Think about how many people come through TFM each day. And the admins have to meet everyone's needs. It's too much work for ten people. (I'm sorry I don't know the exact number of admins) Tig does not sit there in his office making troll faces at people. He is aware, as are the others, of the multiple bugs in this game, and is working to fix them. And he can only do one thing at a time, so it's either fixing bugs, or adding new stuff. Meli and Kura have to work making beautiful arts for us. Art is hard. If you've ever had any experience with it, you should know that. Hackers are and will always be a problem. Mods can ban them, but hackers will always find new codes and new ways to get on the game and beat some asses. It's part of any online game. So suck it up and deal with it. Coding is even harder and more time consuming than art. Tig tries and works for the greater well being, not the small things like that bomb glitch you mentioned. Sure, it can be a nuisance, but he understands that events and major glitchs are more important. I know there have been some infuriating updates (such as the menu) but no-one's perfect, and Tig (as well as the other coders, I'm sure) messes up sometimes. You should be glad you even have this game. If you don't like it, then quit! Leave! No loss for us. You can't find new content? The christmas event just ended! We got tons of new items, as well as a new goal (ie presents) and free fraises and cheese. What about the Halloween event? That was new and interesting. The events are new updates, do you want him to stop the events just so he could work on adding stuff to the game? Really, all you are is just one of those people who make threads like "Transformice sucks" except you covered it in fancy words. Transformice is a great game, and if you don't like the state of it, then leave. Go play that stupid Squirrels game. Go play Minecraft. We won't care. (Lagia really influenced me to write this helluva long post) a dit : |

I thought this thread was going to be a fun place where people could say what they thought of transformice because that's their oppinion and they don't need to worry about others snapping back to them.. But nope. Others have to comment on someone's oppinion. It's like this meme: ![]() Let people have their oppinions, and don't bother replying saying "You're wrong". We can't all say TFM is the best. |

I agree with Eohx and also with "some" of the opposers. They have told me they are looking for developers considering that Tig is the only Admin that can actually code. |

Lagiacruss a dit : There are bugs which have existed for YEARS Lagiacruss a dit : The game has been running for nearly three years and they’ve only managed to add: Bootcamp (which was conceived by the community) Map editor (asked for by the community) Room types (asked for by the community) Tribes (conceived by the community) Holiday events Unless holiday events take all year to plan, they’re not trying that hard. Lagiacruss a dit : He wasn’t complaining that people hack, he was complaining that the Brazillian server is rife with hackers and they have the poorest moderation. Lagiacruss a dit : You’ve got some brown on your nose there. Sourisplum a dit : Hey guess what, his opinion is just as valid as yours and you don’t get to call anyone out for complaining just because you disagree! Sourisplum a dit : The game is built in Flash, which is cross-platform. They aren’t exactly dealing with a ton of variation here. Sourisplum a dit : Nine staff, not all of which are necessarily coding. Sourisplum a dit : If you’re making an online game to be played by thousands of people *you don’t get away with buggy or broken features* (imagine this part is italicised because Tig’s shitty forum software cannot handle tags). Look at any other online game. Things get FIXED when they break, regardless of the status of new content. The mere fact that there are bugs from over two years ago still in the game says it all. Sourisplum a dit : Again, it’s not about the hackers, it’s about the abysmal moderation. Sourisplum a dit : EVERY bug is important and you cannot tell me that any developer worth their salt would be okay with leaving fucking *prehistoric* bugs in favor of making new things, ESPECIALLY when those new things you talk about hardly ever appear! Sourisplum a dit : Hey, this is by far the dumbest and most infuriating argument ever to exist in the creative industries. “If you don’t like it don’t read/watch/listen/play” is toxic because it pretends that problems are not something that should be talked about or fixed, but instead are magic special things which are just there and should be accepted. THIS DOES NOT ENCOURAGE CREATIVE GROWTH Sourisplum a dit : New items are not new content; items have been a feature in the game for years now and adding new items to the shop requires only a modicum of effort. Holiday events are temporary and do not affect the day-to-day playing of the game outside of that holiday. Developing seasonal content should not come at the expense of permanent content. Sourisplum a dit : Really, all you are is just one of those people who make posts like “Transformice is perfect never change it” except you covered it in fancy words. Transformice is a sketchy game, and if you like the state of it, then take a long hard look at yourself in the mirror. Go play that stupid mouse game. We won't care. |

Personally I would prefer having bugs fixed and small suggestions implemented over -for example- the next (2 if needed) events. Which would be valentines and april's fools. Or easter.. idk the order of these things. There are lots of small things that are either broken or just somehow incomplete. Many of these are very much wanted by at least the EN community (I base this on me reading and listing every single suggestion thread that seemed viable) and would probably be appreciated more than events or completely new features. So the course of action I'd take is to focus on these for a while, to earn the trust of every community (I don't think EN is the real problem on that matter) and to finish the things that are started. I don't know much about the BR situation but I'm very much willing to believe that it's grave. |

To you guys who are saying that me and Sourisplum have no respect for people's opinions, that is not the case at all. We were merely defending the admins because the OP was blind to all the hard work that the admins do to try to satisfy tens of thousands of people. That, or he/she just doesn't care about their work. Manco a dit : It's not like they've been ignoring them, you know. It's very hard to try to find out how to fix many bugs, and they have been trying for "YEARS" to figure out how to fix them. Manco a dit : "Only"? Yet again, another person that does not understand the amount of time, effort, and love that goes into making those "only" updates. Like I've said before, it's not like they can snap their fingers and *BOOM* update/new content. Besides, they can't use all their time for new content. They have to spend a large amount of time as well programming anti-cheat patches, figuring out how to fix bugs, etc. Just be patient with them, geez. Manco a dit : They actually are trying to change that. That's why they're acquiring new admins to help build up a BR Moderation team. Manco a dit : Nice assuming skills you have there. Unfortunately for you, you're wrong. I was merely trying to let the OP see the brighter side of things that he might've thought bad, and you think I'm brown-nosing? Please, grow up. Manco a dit : If you actually bother to read, we're pointing out that all that person is doing is complaining, when all his points are really kind of lopsided, for the reasons that both me and Sourisplum have pointed out. And aren't YOU calling us out for our opinion on this anyway? I think so. Manco a dit : Wow, more proof that you don't care about the good side or the truth side of things, and only want to state the bad things, even if it's not all true. First of all, like I've said NUMEROUS times, it is NOT easy to figure out how to fix bugs, and it is very very time consuming to do so. Anyway, I like some of the bugs anyway like the Double Spawn glitch. It's quite interesting, and not something to rage over. And your argument of Jean's "sh***y" forum (which is actually great), there ARE italics tags, but only staff can use them right now. You have to understand that they can't devote their entire time to adding paltry things like italics tags to the forum. Again, they have more important things at the moment like Anti-Cheat patches, trying to figure out how to fix bugs, etc. "The mere fact that there are bugs from over two years ago still in the game says it all." For the last time, they can't just wave a magic wand and the bugs will be fixed. It is very hard to try to figure out most bugs, and some are un-fixable at this time. Geez, why must you base TFM's success or failure based on bugs, when you can't even comprehend/realize how hard it is to try to fix them? Manco a dit : It most certainly is about the hackers. The Moderation team tries their HARDEST to ban hackers, rule-breakers, and the likes. Like Souris said, the malicious hackers usually find a way back on, and that does not make the Moderation team "abysmal". That's such a disrespectful thing to say about them, especially since you have no idea how much whisper spam, false/spam reports, and just overall nonsense they have to put up with. So your statement "abysmal moderation" either shows that you don't comprehend/understand the tons and tons of hard work and effort that they actually do, or you just don't care (which wouldn't suprise me if the latter was correct, to be honest, based on what you've been saying.) Manco a dit : Refer to my previous comments on the "prehistoric (as you like to call it)" bug situation, if you can even get yourself to realize it instead of trying to spend your time focusing on the weak argument of them being here a while. Manco a dit : Oh look at that, yet another false assumption. Like I've said before, me and Souris are trying to put into light the falseness of the OP's complaints, for the reasons we have stated. Transformice is not "sketchy". It is one of the very very very few games where the admins actually care about their players, and try their absolute hardest to please us and come out with cool stuff. Yes, hats and items count as new content/updates, and the vast majority enjoys new hats/items. Of course, they can't please everyone (obviously in your case. I don't even think they can do anything to please you without you jumping to the wrong conclusion of everything that they do.). Anyway, that's pretty low of you to actually imply that we should reconsider who we are , and that we're possibly bad people for liking/enjoying TFM, since you said to "tak a long hard look at yourself in the mirror". Yes, I absolutely love the "state" of TFM. The bugs that exist aren't a big deal, maybe just a minor inconvenience if anything, but that inconvenience is lost if you actually think about how hard it is to try to fix them. Holiday events, new features, new items, those are exciting and something to look forward to. So yes, I love the "state" of Transformice. It's not "sketchy" at all (unless you refuse to read and understand the truth of the matters you find to be bad.) and I will back it up as I wish, since you and the OP can't seem to understand. __________________________________________________________________________ tl;dr --> People need to actually take the time to understand the work that admins do, and stop thinking that it's so easy to fix bugs, do updates/new content, and maybe stop demanding so much from them and stop being mad when something new hasn't happened in a bit. It DOES take a very taxing toll on them to do all this stuff. No magic wand, no finger snapping, but actual legit, hard work, with a love and care for us too. |

Eohx and Iamconz, I realize that you are a little distraught because of Transformice's "lack of content", but the only way that you have to come up with tha tis by comparing that to other MMO games, and what you have to realize are a couple of points. • Transformice doesn't have the budget of larger MMO games, they can only do so much as what money allows, and it wasn't until fraises that they really started gaining money that they could use for other things, like hiring new devs or community managers • Transformice is only made up of less than 10 admins. 10 people can't accomplish as much as a giant company of people that other online games have. • Transformice is still in it's early stages. You might be expecting a lot because of what they have accomplished so far, but in reality, the game is only about 2, maybe 3 years old. It hasn't been around that long and so you can't expect them to have generated a perfect game in that ammount of time, and with the resources that they have. Thank you for your time. |

Iamconz a dit : And that's where the problem lies. You don't actually understand what they do, and refuse to read something to help you understand. And no I'm not telling people "wrong", I'm just refuting their "arguments" because they're falsely based on misunderstanding. If you blatanly refuse to see the truth behind the matter, and continue on your tyrade of how the admins are "screwing up the game" or "not caring about important things", then please revamp what your head thinks :/ Also, pretty funny how you accuse me of ignoring you guys, whenever my posts are explaining the actual correct situation behind what you guys are complaining about and hating on. Pretty sure that you're ignoring me, Sourisplum, and Firestonnne, not the other way around. And again, take the time to read my "Huge-A**" post (as you call it) to actually enlighten yourself on the truth. Oh, and my first post on this thread as well. I write long responses because I actually put though into my posts. |
