[Map Editor] Push and Pull Dynamic Objects! |

Hey guys ^^ I haven't posted a suggestion, or even a comment for a very long time, but I've just had a nice idea that can add some cool gameplay. Basically if you hold space while you're head is next to an object you will latch onto it with your mouth. I know you can already move things just by pushing them with your body, but doing this will allow you to hold on to the object and also pull it, too. You would be able to move around while doing this so you can actually move objects and not just hold on to them. Also, there would be some new kind of animation for holding onto an object, like the mouse head turning side ways or something, and if it's possible, have the mouse turn around. For example if I latched onto a swinging ground, when it turns around the mouse will look upside down and follow it. And if the space key isn't the best key for this, there are plenty more on the keyboard that it could be. Multiple mice would be able to hold on to one object of course, too, but that might cause problems I have no idea. I've thought of some examples where this can actually be quite fun to use: •Maps where you have to build some kind of structure with the other mice by moving objects into place •Some kind of jungle map were you swing from vine to vine •A part of a bootcamp map where theres a spinning object, and you have to hold on to it to get under and around it •Using a floating object, such as a ball, in water while you have the cheese so you don't sink, and use the ball as a floatation device. •A map where a zipline is involved and you hold on to it to get to the other side I'm sure there are many more uses for this that you creative bunch would come up with. *Note* This only works for dynamic objects (shaman objects or grounds that can move) that you can collide with, so you wouldn't just be able to spam this on any ground to get around it, or on ice to walljump it, and also so you wouldn't latch on to any invisible grounds you aren't supposed to touch in a map. If I've missed anything, there's a typo, you support or don't support, want to give feedback, criticize, critique or whatever, reply down below! Also if this has been suggested before feel free to lock this because I don't have much of a clue what's been going on around lately. |

Willinator a dit : There are already maps where mice have to push boxes together to build something, or something similar. Willinator a dit : @926203 Willinator a dit : @330590 and while I can't find another, I know there are at least two more permed bootcamp maps with rotating turnarounds. Willinator a dit : ![]() What's wrong with a bit of skill and precision? Most of this is already possible, it just needs skill instead of 'holding on'. I think it would be pretty neat to have this but it's unneeded, it'd break a LOT of existing maps and we don't need another update that does that, for a feature that's already possible with existing mechanics. |

Owlchic a dit : Yup, -*Note* This only works for dynamic objects (shaman objects or grounds that can move) that you can collide with, so you wouldn't just be able to spam this on any ground to get around it, or on ice to walljump it, and also so you wouldn't latch on to any invisible grounds you aren't supposed to touch in a map.- Mymicemy a dit : Sorry about that, most people can usually read it without getting a headache, but if you highlight the text it's white words on a black background so hopefully that'll be easier to read ^^ Shamousey a dit : You do have some valid points there, but I just thought this would be a more fun and can be used a bit more. Pushing and pulling would make building maps a bit easier, but yes they're possible without this function. As for the bootcamp part, I was thinking more that the turn around would be something slipper, or impossible to get around without holding on he it the whole way, like a large box or an ice turn around. Also the map you gave doesn't have a spinning turn around? And for the vines part, I have seen a map like this before, but with holding on to the vine you would be able to swing back and forth to gain momentum instead of just pushing into it.\ For the water one, I can't really tell in the picture if you had cheese or not. I was talking about if you had cheese, you would hang on a ball and swim across the water so you didn't sink. If you did have the cheese, then that would be pretty much impossible to move the ball around while you are still on it, because it would just slip out from under you when you run. I do agree that it could break some maps, however. But people adjust to new things over time. It took a while for people to move from rype's glitch maps into the joint maps, but it happened. |

/support, and I was also thinking, if it's like an ice block, you would like either slowly or quickly slip off or something? that would be pretty neat for bootcamp, but great idea :P |

Widdleboom a dit : Maybe, this was intended for really latching on to things though. Like say you were about to fall off the map, you might be able to get to a part of the sham's build and hold on to it until they save you. |
