Sounds: Great, but... |

Hi folks. mice who play in room 5 on the EN server may recognize me: I'm one of the mice who AFKs a lot (due to movies, other games, forums, and waiting for other mice to finish the map). Now, there's currently four sounds as far as I know: - Round start - Death - Cheese aquired - Got in the hole Three of these sounds are really distinctive and I can hear them easily even when tabbed away. Unfortunately, the third one is the most important one for me, and it's easiest to miss: Round start sounds like someone in the neighborhood has some microwave finished. Come to room 5 on EN server if you want to see exactly how often I miss it, it's really annoying. It's especially annoying not only for me when I'm shammy. Start of shammy round should be something like BANNGGGG!! It should be impossible to miss unless you're dead, it should wake up the neighbors, too! *grin* Am I the first to ask this, otherwise point me to the other thread and I'll support it. Biter! |

I personally like the soft ding that currently plays, and I never miss it. That's just me, though. I'd rather keep it softer than louder, so it gets my attention but isn't necessarily a distraction either. |

Fxie's reply kind of makes me think of the suggestion of having customisable volumes that's already been posted, which in my opinion would be better as it'd suit both of your needs. |

Hmm, I saw that thread, but I have music off and well I can just switch laptop volume to max I suppose and hope my neighbors don't mind the noise when I get cheese \o/ Maybe it would be good if you could set different volumes for different noises, so make the level start louder and keep the rest down. |
