We should have an extra tab called "Custom". In the wrench menu we would have the following options:

"Include tribe chat in the Custom tab"
"Include room chat in the Custom tab"
"Include whispers in the Custom tab"
"Include group chats in the Custom tab"

The tab wouldn't include all of your chats, it would include only things you would like.

Examples:

If you want to see your tribe chat and room chat in one tab (the custom tab) you select:

"Include tribe chat in the Custom tab"
"Include room chat in the Custom tab"

If you want to see whispers, group chats and tribe chat all in one tab (the custom tab) you select:

"Include tribe chat in the Custom tab"
"Include whispers in the Custom tab"
"Include group chats in the Custom tab"

If you want to see everything in one tab (like before), you select them all.

This suggestions would make life much easier so we don't have to keep switching back and fourth to chat.

I also think it would be better than an "All" tab as other were suggesting because then people could customise it to their preferences using the wrench.

P.s Not selecting a certain option WOULD NOT close them, you would still receive these messages in their seperate tab but just wouldn't receive it in the custom tab.

hmm I have to amit at the moment following the convo I am having in the room with people and the convo with my tribe is annoying the day light out of me swiching back and forth, i cant keep up with the room convo :'(.

I think it will get messy adding in the chat channels with everything else, Since if your in chat channel "meow" you can just reply by typing "/meow burp... whoops sorry".

@post below by Pheony ( Topic-420493 ) I get what you are saying but I was trying to keep similar thoughts on the chat inter linked slightly without the threads getting lost and allow people to try and work which way they would perfer it. (And this thread Title is easier to find)

As I said in my topic, it should be an "all" tab, so you can both follow what is going on in both room and tribe,especially you're a tribe sham. Sometimes the game is just so exciting and you may forget what is happening in tribe, that "all" tab will help. If you find tribe annoying, there are command to mute it or another "room" tab for you to switch to. It's just one more tab "all" would not be much complicated as the "custom" tab.

If you want to see whispers, group chat, room chat in one tab (the custom tab) but not tribe chat you select

"Include room chat in the Custom tab"
"Include whispers in the Custom tab"
"Include group chats in the Custom tab"
