I thought it would be really fun and make survivor more challenging if they had a survivor hard mode.

All you would have to do is when you are in a survivor room, you will type in the chat: /hardmode

This will let you change from normal to hardmode. You will not be able to change during a round as a shaman.

When you are in hardmode you cannot use hotkeys, totems, portals or spirits. Your meep will not recharge so you can only use it once a round. It will tell everyone in the chat if you are using hardmode or not.

Hardmode will be fun because it can make survivor more of a challenge ( since it hasn't been with the recent updates ) and that will make it more fun. And since you have a choice it won't effect your shaman play in anyway.

Implementing hardmode could also make it easier to create an update like survivor titles. For when you have hardmode on, is when you are in a "Serious Mode" which would be great for titles.
