/!\ You shouldnt do this if your computer cant handle it. So be careful. /!\

Hi, i found a thing for less lagg :) (sorry, the language from my pc is in dutch)
My ping before this:

1. Open the task manager and go to the tfm proces (if you use tigs official standalone is the proces named 'Transformice.exe' I use 'BafflerStandalone.exe'
Go to Processes and you get this window:

2. Right click on 'Transformice.exe' or 'BafflerStandalone.exe' and set priority to High:

If you already have activated Minimalist mode you can skip step 3.

3. Now activate this 2 options in transformice

Changing the priority of your Transformice client doesn't affect your ping. Your ping is the latency between your computer and the servers hosting Transformice. Put simply, it's how fast your computer 'talks' to the Transformice servers.

When you change the priority of your client in Task Manager to high, all you're doing is dedicating the main processing power of your computer towards running the client. You may get some improvement from the performance of your client by doing this (As in walking/jumping etc. might look smoother) but you won't decrease your ping from this. That's entirely dependant on connection between you and Transformice's servers. The distance and speed of your ISP is the only thing that can improve your ping.

Also like Jaackster mentioned, changing the priority of an application can make your computer slower overal if it's not particularly powerful and/or you have other programs running.

Actually I was gonna say what Whisky just said that however your computer's RAM, CPU or general performance was, your ping will remain static depending on your location and internet speed.

I disagree a bit. For example I get 50-60 ms ping in usual non-laggy maps. But when I notice decrease in framerate I type /ping and I always get something like 70-80 ms. In heavy lagging maps sometimes I even get 90-100 ms ping.
On the other hand if your internet can't handle ping below ~150 then the game performance won't give you any improvement I guess

EDIT: OPs computer is so overloaded o.O I mean, 123 processes? That's really really high. It makes me believe that changing priority helps him alot because of this.

The settings in task manager have nothing to do with your internet connection whatsoever however it is true that if you use this method your computer will 'focus' on transformice whitch may bring small improvements.

If only that command weren't removed and added in the option menu instead. But again, not displaying clothes only helps with client lag, not getting a lower ping.

Well, the title doesn't say anything about ping...

Anyway, this kinda helped, but only in minor way. But it's not a bad way to stop lag.

Ping is connection lag. So it doesn't really bother too much, atleast it shouldn't.

Quite honestly this isn't a good way to reduce lag. It could cause other important tasks in your computer to freeze and cause more severe problems down the road..

Might I suggest just reducing the amount of backround applications that are running on your PC/Mac?
