[Discuss] HTML Forums?

There's been talk that there may be HTML forums in the future... but do you even want our forums to change? Why or why not?

I want the forums to change - having an HTML version would bring possibilities for many things I'd like to see in forums:
• .gifs can be animated.
• We can stay logged in forever.
• When coming back to the forum, not every post will be marked as unread.
• Viewable from mobile devices without Flash.
• Easy to make custom themes/designs with things like Stylish for the parts of the design I don't like.
• Personal messaging again.

I'm sadenned that it's been delayed until next year by the looks of it, I was really looking forward to it.

Mostly for checking forums from phone.

I would greatly enjoy a change of forums.

Signatures won't happen, I can tell you now. I remember the giant fuss about them on the vBulletin forums, and Tig said no because he didn't like how they looked.

I just a forum that I can access from my tablet tbh.

I'd personally love to be able to open up a bunch threads in new tabs.

We have no ETA, but Narayan is really focusing on it at the moment.

This pleaseeee. Gif avatars would be cool but idk if that would translate well to in game avatar but maybe they can be seperate.

OR it could be in the coding stages which we have no business knowing what exactly is being poured into that.

Oh yes. HTML Forums would be an excellent addition.

I'd like to use Bold and Italics without using that linked picture, imo.
