Just as the title suggests. I think it would be easier if you could create a small chat room with a couple of friends while on transformice as other applications may cause lag. This feature would only be allowed for 13+ up or whatever

Personally I disagree. There is the obvious problem of language barriers in the more international community, there are bound to be performance issues and there are bound to be a lot of people you don't want to talk to. Those you do want to talk to, you most likely have added on skype or some other (web-based) calling tool, so why not use that?

You can't tell a player's age and they could easily lie about it.

I'm with Lemodile on this. It's much easier to just use Skype. If the lag caused by Skype is the reason you don't want to use it, just imagine the lag if tfm had its own audio chat option. Atrocious. That and the bit where I don't want to hear anyone, at all, except maybe two or three friends. Those friends have my Skype.

I feel there would be many problems with this, especially problems with language and fighting. If you really want to talk to your friends while you play, just get their phone number and call them or Skype or something.

I think its a good idea. I have a chromebook, and I cant download anything. and if I ever try, it wont let me open it. Plus, at least one person will scream into their mic.(R.I.P headphone wearers). So how about theres a little thingy at the top of the screen that looks like this?



Ok, ignore the chat. This isnt even my picture. Show some respect. So, anyway, at the top of the chat, you see the volume thing? It shows how loud your speaking. So if you try to scream into the mic (and try to kill the headphone wearers) your voice will stay quiet. So basically you wont go deaf.

Well, I highly disagree with this. Adding Transfomice Voice Chat would come at huge costs. Tigrounette's pockets will be ripped off with bandwidth costs. Furthermore, Transformice already got huge lags, this would add up and make the conditions inhospitable. You can use Skype, and/or Mumble.

I can vouch for this feature only if people are willing to cover up the bandwidth costs. That could be possible using P2P, or asking people to buy VPS and somehow install some server on it, and make it work as a VoIP handler.
