Hello mice!

Do you enjoy playing deathmatch? Did you ever want to earn cheese by playing deathmatch? This is your chance! The Transformice staff team will organise an International Deathmatch Tournament. During this tournament, players from all communities are able to compete against each other, to prove that they are the ultimate Deathmatch champion. What's even better; everyone can join, there is no need to sign up!




Tournament Setup
Round 1
Round one will be spread over four cycles, played in different timezones. During all cycles, 200 mice will play across 10 assigned contest rooms. That means a total of 800 mice can participate in this tournament!! At the end of every cycle, the 50 best mice will advance to the semi finals! The cycles will start at the following times:

Cycle 1: December 21st, 19:00 GMT
Cycle 2: December 21st, 22:00 GMT
Cycle 3: December 22nd, 09:00 GMT
Cycle 4: December 22nd, 16:00 GMT

All matches will be held in rooms called *#contest. When you join this room you may be sent to another numbered room, such as *#contest3. The points are counted and saved per room, so stay in this room during the match, or you might not be able to come back later. Before the matches start, you can already enter these rooms to prepare your settings (offset etc.) and practice with other contestants!


Semi finals
200 remaining mice will battle across 10 rooms for a place in the finale. Only the top 20 mice of these semi finals will reach the finals. The semi finals will be held on December 28th, at 19:00 GMT in room *#contest1 - *#contest10.


Grand Finale
During the Grand Finale, 20 players will battle to win this fabulous cheese prize. The Grand Finale will be livestreamed so everyone can witness the climax of the competition. This grand finale will be held on January 4th, at 19:00 in room *#contest.


The points system
During every round, 20 maps will be played. Every player that is alive at the end of a round, will receive 1 point. If there is only one survivor, this player will receive 3 points. After 20 rounds, the module will end, and all players will be ranked based on the amount of points they have won. The best mice across all rooms will advance to the next round. Names of the winning mice will be announced here, so check this thread regularly!


Prizes
1st place: 1500 cheese
2nd place: 1000 cheese
3rd place: 500 cheese
Finalist (4th-20th): 100 cheese


Rules
- No teams! Each player will play on their own.
- No guest accounts. To be able to identify players, we do not allow guests to participate in this contest.
- No hacking. If we find you are cheating in any way, you will be removed from the competition and you could even risk a ban.
- Game rules still apply. Mind your language and behave yourself, or you will be removed from the competition.
- Prizes will be handed out AFTER the Grand Finale.
