How does Transformice get confusing? |

When a new player first joins the game, they're introduced to the gameplay with a tutorial explaining how to move, jump, get cheese, and go into the hole. That might be fine for some people to get into the game if they want to figure out all of the game's mechanics on their own, but unfortunately not everyone learns like that. For a new player the mass of things in Transformice can be very overwhelming and confusing, and as seen in this recent video the player gets confused as to what things like the shaman are. How do you think Transformice gets confusing for yourself, and for newer players that first join the game? What do you think should be included in a tutorial, and what else could be improved to help make things clearer to people? |

okay as a pretty new member of the game i have a few things that i think should be included in a tutorial, since the ingame tutorial is literally "grab cheese, enter hole" A) Walljump, cornerjump, etc B) How to properly Shaman, and what does each ability does, as well as general strategies for some maps C) Properties of floors, walls, etc (like chocolate, ice, etc) hope it can be of any help |

The majority of new players that I see are unaware of the controls while being a shaman (mostly how to make the basic b,c, and v nails), I'm sure that it would be extremely helpful to new players to add this into the starting tutorial. As for people who want to figure it out themselves, or people already familiar with the game, an option to skip the tutorial would also be nice. |

This had to be done at least 2 years ago. The amount of things to do are too many right now and a tutorial like this is ridicolous IMHO. Since the steam release i've seen a lot of new Italian players playing something like 20 minutes and ragequitting forever because they can't understand what's goin on. |

A very basic shaman tutorial is the only thing I feel like is missing on TFM tutorial. Wall-jumping, corner-jumping, Divine Mode buildings and other things the ''old-school'' can do is something you learn in time and I don't think it requires a tutorial for newer players. Also it wouldn't hurt anyone if there was an in-game tutorial on how things work, for example: shopping items, joining/making a tribe or even how to chat. It might sound stupid to us but imagine people playing the game for the first time, they'll get more hyped about it if it's not just some boring gameplay to be done. |

While the initial tutorial on the basic movements is useful to the player, it still lacks a lot of information on how to properly play the game. I suppose there should be an option if the player wants to learn more about the controls and how to play the role as the shaman. They should also introduce the player on wall-jumping since many maps that the player will soon encounter heavily relies on wall jumping. Maybe as they progress and unlock the new shaman modes, it explains it to them? I've seen players unlocking hard mode and divine mode and have no clue what the restrictions are and what are the features. I suppose teaching them basic chat commands other than titles like /silence is also a plus. |

Yeah.... The game needs a proper shaman tutorial. I regularly take new players aside to explain them the basic shaman controls & show them how to build a ramp and a bridge when I see them struggling. Yes, there is a "tutorial" page on the official website http://www.transformice.com/tutorials/index.php and it does explain quite some stuff but I wish anybody good luck to find that themselves, especially the Steam players. |

the tutorial should be a obstacle course, adding a bit of a real-life situation to it anyway i remember when i was a sham for the first time, i didn't know that you had to click to summon objects, so perhaps in the sham tutorial, have a gif of a hand clicking down on the mouse, and summoning a object |

something like 800 days783 days after meli announces that there will be a shaman tutorial here, there have been oh-so-many updates and none of them even resemble a shaman tutorial. sort of hoping that the 'unannounced game project' is an updated tutorial, but i doubt it. plus the post before it said Dernière modification le 1426548120000 |

I feel like people should use the help button more often, that way they won't be that lost in how to play the game... For me it's not confusing, nor was it when I started playing, but I guess what confuses people is the shaman. I think they should add something about the shaman in the tutorial... |

Would the ability to practise something like walljumping ingame with a visual cue help, or perhaps a video explaining it as best as possible? |

When I first come on, I was really confused about the scoreboard and the points accumulated after getting cheese. Also, the tutorial should show you have to wj and cj. Maybe you can create an intermediate version where it teaches mice how to cj, sham, and all the more advanced things. |

When I first started the game I was really confused on being shaman. I first thought that only pros could be shaman and when it was my turn to be the shaman, I screwed up miserably because I didn't know how to use the shaman objects and how to make a proper build. It would help if there was a shaman tutorial though. By the way, the video you linked was hilarious :p |

A too in-depth tutorial can be daunting. I personally thing wall jumping shouldn't be included in the tutorial, but, as Mongling suggested, a intermediate/advanced tutorial could be offered once a player reaches a certain level (maybe 20-ish?) I learned to wall jump around level 30, but didn't fully master it until level 50-ish, so wall jumping is definitely a very hard skill for newer players to master. However, the current tutorial definitely needs a basic shamaning guide. I believe shamaning is the hardest part of TFM for new players to master. At the very least, a small guide to nails should be included. |

the shamming was the most confusing part when I joined. I could not figure it out for the life of me until someone told me to go to private room and experiment with it< maybe something explaining the grounds as well would be useful but I disagree with adding stuff showing new people how to walljump and cornerjump and stuff. Those should remain skills you learn form playing for a bit of time. |

My first map as a shaman was the one that lost gravity after some time, I thought that happened because i pressed up twice. I tried doing that in other maps but then it did'nt work. then I relaized that it was only that map that did it and always did it no matter what the sham does. Wall jumping i soon learnt how to do it and for corner jumping, i figured it out at first try :D |
