Hi everybody. While I was playing tfm Staarii suggested something amazing. To me and to Staarii there should be a LGBT flag function. I'm talking about the /f function of course. What do you think about it? Comment and support me please #LGBT ![]() Staarii's Drawing. |

I'm on the fence about this. Not because I'm "homophobic" or whatever you care to call it (which would be ironic to refer to me as given I'm part of the LGBTQIA+ community), but more I just don't trust children. A lot of children still live in religious families and have been raised that homosexuality is a sin/unnatural/improper/whatever you care to call it. A lot of children also play this game. I foresee a lot of fighting and hurt feelings and mod involvement because someone got offended at the presence of the gay pride flag. Not to mention as well, the rainbow flag in recent is only seen as the "gay pride" flag. Bisexuality and transgender also have their own flags now, and if you allow the gay pride flag and not these, people could say that Transformice is becoming biphobic/transphobic. You really would need to cater to all, or none. |

Haruhitastic a dit : Nice point but people must get used to it. We need to teach them the truth somehow. Bisexuals and transgenders also have specific flags but LGBT means Lesbian Gay Bisexual and Transgender. The flag contains all. Lastly I think, we are mature enough to prevent creating a fight atmosphere. |

Regardless of the homophobia, the lgbtq+ should be represented to know that they are recognized and appreciated in a positive light. Just like the different nationalities that play this game. We are all accepted. If things go wrong, our wonderful mods will handle it. /support Dernière modification le 1435595580000 |

Haruhitastic a dit : I am also agreeing w/ Haru. Given the fact most of us come w/ a religious background, it makes all very difficult. I'm not disrespecting in any way, but we should consider the fact that homo/bi/transphobia could ensue at any moment due to the flag. Not everyone is ready to accept the changes made in humanity's concepts. Besides, not saying you youngsters can't inform yourself on the topic, but the lack of proper mature understanding of the topic would only add fuel to an already existent disapproval amongst people. We don't have a Straight flag, we don't have a "black/white/yellow flag", we don't have a feminist/chauvinist flag, neither any religious flag. Having a LGBT flag would just make everything worse. Sorry but /nosupport I would think on supporting if it was a custom flag suggestion, then everyone could make their own flag, but this... |

Lucycat a dit : C'mon. No interpretation sense? And you got something up too. If everyone is searching equality, why do LGBT people should have something to be proud of too ;) Dernière modification le 1435609080000 |

Noctoc a dit : "Gay pride or LGBT pride is the positive stance against discrimination and violence toward lesbian, gay, bisexual, and transgender (LGBT) people to promote their self-affirmation, dignity, equality rights, increase their visibility as a social group, build community, and celebrate sexual diversity and gender variance. Pride, as opposed to shame and social stigma, is the predominant outlook that bolsters most LGBT rights movements throughout the world." (x) (x) Gay people aren't proud of simply being gay, but rather their ability to reject humiliation and to come together as a minority group to increase visibility and advocate for equal rights. Straight people, in that sense, would have nothing to be proud of. Dernière modification le 1435611960000 |
