Opposite effect as picture not changing in forums. I successfully used the Ctrl+F5 on forums to change it

But it won't change in game. Is there an issue with connection to forum? It hasn't changed for 2 days and usually changes in-game instantly after a refresh (which I already tried)

Hello there, i have also experienced this issue and it can take about 1-4 days for the picture to "upload" to tfm... there is nothing wrong with it, its normal. Do not worry my friend :)

From experience it is not normal.. I used to just change the picture and refresh the game and it would be done. I have found out the servers are a bit laggy (Fortoresse lags, Nekodancer videos are not loading quickly, and hamsters/mice on tfm will just start running off the screen and lagging, and the ping skyrockets)

This only works on forum. Ctrl+F5 will work. Reloading tfm is like downloading the game again so it is supposed to change

clearing cache and control+f5 is the same thing

You can't clear cache on the standalone or baffler standalone. I'm not talking about changing the picture on the forums.

reload tfm then.
(exiting the game and logging in again)
it's not downloading the game again.

Try clearing the cache on Internet Explorer (I believe this is what the Windows standalone uses).

Ctrl+F5 refreshes all the content on the main game page (www.transformice.com), but it will not empty the avatar cache (which are hosted on atelier801.com). Clearing your cache (via Internet Explorer options) will clear all cached data, including avatars.

that happened to me before. this is how to fix it: if your on tfm on another tab, exit it out before you add your new profile pic
